this seems like an old wife's tail. you know, somebody had knee surgeries or a shoulder injury years ago and then when the weather is cold/rainy/whatever the pain comes back for that day.

i really think there's something to this. today, my back hurt like hell (yes, again) and my old glute/ham insertion tear from 2 years ago also popped up. the weather was pretty cold/windy and has been raining constantly for the last 2-3 days. i didn't do anything at all in the last couple days that could've caused it to flare up again

anybody else?

I don't think it's an old wives tale. I notice particularly when it's humid and raining, that i tend to feel old and current injuries alot more.

My knee sometimes acts up when the weather changes, but that's pretty rare. I think there's something to it though.

One night it barked until everyone woke up while my house was on fire and saved the whole family. Oh wait...

I actually get that in my wrist. I never had a wrist injury, but one time working at my dad's shop when i was about 12 or 13, I was using a scapel (it is a medical supply company) to cut tape, and had no clue how sharp it was, so when I swung at the tape to cut it, I had my hand on the other side holding the roll, and the scapel stuck straight into an artery in my wrist. It was only 2 stitches, but every once in a while, I'll get an intense pain right where the scar is, and it's always on cold, miserable days.

Damn Jeremys, how old are you again?:D

I think there is something to this. How many people were something on their elbows or knees to keep them warm when training? Seems to make sense that if they got cold that they might act up.
