I will start by saying I am definetly out of shape, but trying to change that. I started working out about a week ago, and worked out Wednesday then Sunday. My arms and chest were VERY sore, which I believe to be normal at first (I may have overdone it a bit though). It is now several days after working out and although most soreness is gone, I still feel very weak. I struggle through even a couple pushups where before I could do a decent number. It feels like the muscles are weak and giving out. Is this normal this long afterwords? Is there anything I should be doing? I have been drinking a protein shake a couple times per day.
