To Turn A Midget To A Man - ZgzaZ's Log -

Looking good. It is certainly a good site to see weight on the bar. I think you will continue to see big gains on squats. Bench for me lags WAY behind squats and deads as I think is the case for most (hence my guess!)

Glad to see you enjoying the 5x5. I wouldn't think a delaod would be needed for quite some time. Someone newer to this type training can do a periodized program for months and months w/ out deloading (I know I did) b/c if your not in pain and your not stalling you should not deload IMO.

You mentioned that someone can do a periodized program for months and months, I'm only doing the linear version of it. My flat bench is starting to lag, getting tougher and tougher, that's why I was thinking of deloading. I may just drop the bench weight back 15lbs or so and work back up from there and keep everything else moving on up.

Week 8 - Day 2 - Nov 14th -

Squat - 4x5 - 135x5, 160x5, 185x5, 185x5
Inclines - 4x5 - 135x5, 155x5, 175x5, 195x5
Deadlift - 4x5 - 165x5, 205x5, 235x5, 260x5

felt a little lethargic going into the gym today, so wasn't into it as much as I could have been. But still put up all the lifts, Inclines up 5lbs, Deadlifts up 10lbs. Felt like throwing up after the first and last set of deads, it was great! Gonna need the rest tomorrow for day 3 coming up!

Wow man this is an impressive log!!! You are flying up in all facets. I would love to know how you get that many cals in. Im currently doing the same program on a bulk and I'm struggling to get 3000cals in. Luckily I'm still making gains but not as quickly as you! But back to your thread. CONGRATULATIONS AND KEEP IT ROLLING!!!

Dhawk, thank you so much for the support. I'm gonna need all I can get in the upcoming weeks as some of the lifts are getting a little harder each week. I attribute a lot of my eating patterns to the fact that I work out of my home on any schedule I feel like working on a given day. Some days I only work 3 days a week, so I have a ton of time to prepare my food, and get a ton of rest. Initially, I just made myself eat every 1 1/2hours to 2 hours, and now my body craves much more food. If I wait 2 hours to eat, my stomach will go crazy. It's definately carried over into my lifts.

Thanks again for the support!

Week 8 Day 3 - Nov 16th -

Squats - 4x5 - 135x5, 160x5, 185x5, 210x5
1x3 - 240x3, 245x3 PR
1x8 - 185x8
Flats 4x5 - 135x5, 160x5, 185x5, 210x5
1x3 - 240x3 PR
1x8 - 185x8

Tricep Pushdowns - 3x8 - 140lb straight bar

Sooooo tired walking out of the gym, whew.... Like I said last week, flats are starting to get tough, but still banged out all the reps with good form. Squats/Rows werent as much as a struggle, I think I still have 4-5 good weeks of PR's before I will have to deload, but we will see. Gonna need the 2 days rest....
