thoughts on dairy for snacks?

I was wondering what the general thought is on having dairy as meals? Lets say something like 1 cup of nonfat plain yogurt + protein powder and an apple? Or a fruit with a piece of cheese?

These are convenient things for me to bring to work and don't seem to really affect my performance at the gym.

Opinions?
