Swimming?

hey... what are your guys views on swimming? A friend of mine just signed up at my gym who is playing D1 baseball next year because swimming is part of his schools training. I am thinking of swimming with him 2-3 times a week for a good cardio workout, and maybe hit some back as well. I'd do this after my lifting on i think Tuesdays and Thursdays (few hours later) and i am wondering if this would have any sort of effect on my numbers/recovery time

Thanks

Weightlifting and swimming is a perfect combo IMHO you will grow alot, your appetite will increase, your flexibility and relaxation will also be enhanced. Go for it.

I'd say before or after is fine as long as there's some meals and hours inbetween, and ofcourse your overall goals should be taken into consideration

Swimming is great for all athletes. My doctor suggested it to me for cardio because there is no impact on your joints like when you run or walk and it helps loosen you up!

thanks for the responses guys

i was planning on lifting after school probably from around 3:45-5:00 and swimming maybe around 6ish as long as i can either get a ride/take the car.
