In my new routine per the advise of the knowlegable people here on this board I've cut down my cardio to almost nothing other than a short warm up before lifting. The problem I'm encountering is that I seem to have less stamina than I did. I recall having a lot more energy before I stopped the cardio (which was a mile run before work out plus some 250+ crunches) than I do now. I only noticed this yesterday but perhaps it was just one of those days. Any advise here?
Another question is how does cardio break down muscle? I always thought it only did that if you go above 80% of your max heart rate.
