Split to Train Each Bodypart 2 x Week

Hi guys,

Im looking to try out 3 week steroid cycle in the future & was wondering what the best training split/routine would be to train each bodypart twice per week. I have to hit it twice in order to obtain the maximum gains from the 3-weeker.

Please NO comments on overtraining etc.
 
BB, I train everything twice a week. Once for speed, and once for max effort. If you're not going to failure, it's a piece of cake. Keep the workouts VERY intense, and VERY compound, and don't take accessory work to failure. Check out the training methods sticky and look at Westside and DC Training.

Overtraining is under-recovering, IMO. You won't hear anything about it from me. :)
 
Here's a 4 day/week, 2x/week split:

Chest/Shoulders/Tris on monday and thursday,
Back/Legs/Bis on Tuesday and Friday
 
2 questions on the west side routine:

1) Can I incoporate it within my new 3-WEEK ONLY drug programme?

2) Can I only use WS routine for 3 weeks & switch to my normal Body building split during my off gear maintenace period.
 
Not only CAN you, but it's a very good idea for a BBer to do some PL type training in the off season. It is a great way to shock the system and add size. I know bodybuilders that make it a point to do powerlifting 4 months of the year, just for the size they get from it. :)
 
Im still reading more on it. My ambition is to become a strongman, but have a propotioned/well defined physique at the same time. I think that this programme allows me to do this.

The ME day seems real intense. Is the DE day enough to yield a decent workout. In a 3 weeker period, how can I make the most out of the DE sessions?
 
No problem....bfold is a pro strongman, and he trains using WSB principals + event training.

Honestly, if you already have good symmetry, then size will come with strength training. At that point it's DIET, not training, the will lend the physique you want. Prior to B's last comp, his physique was flat out YUMMY. Diet makes the physique difference though, in terms of leanness. Fat powerlifters aren't fat because they're powerlifters. It's because they're powerlifters with crappy diets. :)

My plan is as follows:

3 Weeks while ON steroids: WS routine

2-6 Weeks While OFF Steroids: Low volume/high intensity maintenace routine.

This way the body will not get used to just one routine.

My question is: Can I get good gains even if I follow it only for 3 weeks at a time?
