Im dieting and really trying to dop a lot of weight, Ive stopped lifting and started an hr of cardio M-F instead and weights on the weekends, I also have cut out carbs after 1 PM. Thing is I have 2 breaks at work and Im looking at some things to eat, I was eating carrorts or fruits(bannanas strawberries) any suggestions? Im very fussy so its hard. Also how is Beef Jerkey for a snack? I really only eat chicken, steak, salad,broccoli, turkley burgers and salad. Eggs in the am. Also 1 other ?, how bad it it for me to eat a breakfast sandwhich for breakfast, say sausage/egg/cheese? Thnx

Bad. It's loaded with sodium and fat. You'd be better off just cooking up some oats w/a couple scoops of protein powder or just mix in some egg whites and nuke it. I make a concoction of egg whites, cottage cheese, 5 grain oats,splenda and, a few berries. Put it in a Tupperware and your set.(cook it of course)You could also blend it into a batter for protein pancakes, and add sf syrup.
 
have meals instead of snacks, when done correctly, you should not be hungry.

about stopping lifting, I feel for you, I know now what lack of time really means, so as it's getting warmer I'm waking up at 5:00 am for morning cardio and then lifting during the evenings at 10:00pm... you need to lift to help with your fat loss
 
I think beef jerky, if made at home, is an excellent snack. You can control how much sodium you add, as well as every other additive. If you buy the right beef, you can make jerky with very little to no fat at all.
 
To maximize fat loss, you need to hit those weights HARD!!! The more lean body mass you have, the higher your calorie expenditure will be= faster and BETTER fat loss. To me, cardio is just a tool that helps burn up calories. As far as lifting, thats where the real leaning out happens(IMO). Also, anything "sausage,egg,cheese" is a luxury and should not be included anywhere near the word: "cutting" or "fat loss" (lol). I dont mean to be so blunt but thats what I think. ALso, to lose weight, you need to spend more than you consume. Its a self explanitory concept. Fitday.com gives a really good estimate at the calories you will be putting in. As far as "snacks" .... sugar-free jell-o is to me a snack...anything else should be a meal. You can go with turkey breast rolled with lettuce/onion/mustard, or with avocado. Maybe 1oz. of nuts (unsalted almonds/peanuts/cashews).... just to give you a few ideas.

I often eat tomatoes in oil/vinegar, is this oK? tHNX. Also how are pork chops?
