There was a thread probably 3 weeks back that I cant find anymore, that discussed how much protein the body can absorb per hour.

I usually take in 1/3 a cup of Whey Isolate from SupplementDirect.com in each supplement shake that I take. However when at work, I buy 2 16oz milks and mix in some Whey with those and drink them with my breakfast meal and inbetween breakfast and lunch. I just want to make sure I am not trying to consume too much, thus wasting product.

4:45am - Shake with 1/3 cup of Whey Isolate, creatine and glutamine. 1/3 cup of oats.

7:15am - 2-egg, sausage/bacon/cheese omlette. 2 16oz 2% milks.
I dont have a measuring cup up here at work, so I just use a coffee cup and scoop out some Whey and mix it in each milk. I drink on these usually until around 9am.

12pm - 6-inch turkey/bacon/ham melt from subway with some sunchips.

4:15pm - PWO shake 1/3 whey, creatine, glutamine and some Dextrose (i dont know how much dextrose because I dont put much in it because I cant stand the texture of the shit)

Approx 6pm - Dinner... whatever the wifey hooks up.

7pm - another PWO shake.

Basically I am mainly concerned about the 2, 2% milks that I drink with breakfast and between breakfast and lunch. I want to make sure that im not wasting any protein by not spacing these 2 drinks out far enough apart.

What are your thoughts on the bodys ability to absorb protein in this fasion?

Thx in advance guys. :Chef:

through trial and error

3 large protein based meals a day plus one large postworkout protein shake is all i need

thx for the feedback guys. I appreciate it. Karma comin at you guys.

Anyone else have any thoughts on it?

It all depends on your body and how damaged your muscles are (ie: how hard you worked out). When you work out you make micro-tears in your muscles, and when they grow back, they grow back stronger, hence your muscles get bigger. Protein and protein bonds are the stuff that makes this growing happen. So if you're a big dude who kills it at the gym 68 grams sounds good; otherwise any protein not put into muscle growth turns into fat. BTW, ideally you should consume 1g of protein per pound of body weight, and protein shakes should not be your main source of protein.
