I just did my first German Volume Training session for my chest/back. My I rep max for my chest was 230. I took 60% of that (140lbs) and could do 17 reps. I know that you should use 60% of your 1RM or a weight you can do for 20 reps.
My first session for my chest went like this

2 10
3 8
4 6

8 4
9 4
10 4
My question is. Is this decrease in reps normal or should I have decreased my weight to say 130lbs(which I can do 20 reps) instead of using 140lbs. Should I continue with 140 or should I decrease it.
