Need Help Yesterday!

Thanx sooo much for your help. Do you gals think I need to take any supps, I currently take a multi vitamin. I have hydroxycut max, fish oil capsules which don't seem necessary when your eating this much fish (correct me if I'm wrong), B-12, glutamine, flax seed oil tabs, and cayenne pills. I don't take these currently but what do you gals think I should make as a staple in my regimine?

Fish oil and flax (omega fats evening primrose oil) is always good, the fat levels in the diet I outlined are slightly below 30% which IMO is ideal when you are taking in good fats so yes I would say take them. B-12 is awesome in the morning with a BCAA before cardio I like it more than fat burns cause in the morning my stomach is very sensitive. A multi vitamin is always a good thing I would also add calcium in to the mix. I have tried cayenne capsules myself I must warn you that coming out they are not fun. LOL Glutamine will aid in recovery so please keep that in the mix. I would like you to hold off on the fat burners for the first month see how you do without them they can always be added in down the line. Cinnamon capsules would be a good add to the mix as well as they suppress your appetite and cravings.

I just purchased the lemons and the maple syrup, which I'm almost out of so I'm thinking of starting this meal plan on monday (I'll have to go gocery shopping tomorrow).

oooh no maple syrup! Just not neccesary and all that sucrose will encourage further growth of zenobiotics in the colon you don't want.

Lemons do aid in liver detox a bit, but only if you drink lemon juice first thing when you rise after all the liver's digestive functions have ceased. If it's been even 8 hours since you last ate your liver is still likely to engaged in helping your metabolize your last meal and the lemon juice isn't likely to provoke a stored toxin release at all.

Don't do any juice fasts as that almost always makes people feel worse, sometimes much worse. Your body is great at storing toxins it can not excrete in order to protect itself. Detoxes are only beneficial only to the degree that your body is able to excrete the stored toxins you're breaking loose. Juice only diets do provoke release of a lot of that stuff from all over the body. This is b/c your body is suddenly no longer expending metabolic energy on the digestive process, and responds to an opportunity to start clearing toxins. However in nearly every case it's mass flood of released toxins will overburden your kidneys and liver and you'll feel dreadful. Do a colon and liver and detox only right now.

For the bowel detox you only need a $3 bottle of psyllium seed fiber laxative and a $10 bottle of bentonite clay (which will last you forever) that you can get from most health food stores. Look up the protocols for using these. You do one right after the other for several days, then repopulate your bowel with healthy digestive enzymes with a cheap digestive enzyme product.

The lemon juice right now for the liver is fine. The low fat diet you're about to adopt will also lift a heavy burden from it and allow the liver to begin to release through your biliary ducts into your colon more of the stored toxins it's accumulated over the years. If I were to list the things necessary to really provoke a rapid and comprehensive liver detoxification it would likely overload your bowels with it's release, and again you'd likely feel worse. Once your bowels are clear and functioning really well (and you've adopted a diet high in fiber and raw vegetables)you can get a bit more aggressive with facilitating the release of stored toxins in your liver.

Thanx so much QT, this defenitely seems like a doable diet for me. I've never actually had a sweet potatoe in its natural form (only candied yams and sweet potatoe pie, lol) , how do you gals prepare it? Actually, your opinions on the cleanse aren't too late, willow. I just purchased the lemons and the maple syrup, which I'm almost out of so I'm thinking of starting this meal plan on monday (I'll have to go gocery shopping tomorrow). One other quesion, i tend to gag with protein powders, so i drink isopure whey isolate protein drinks, what do you gals think of those? I have not had my bodyfat checked formally however my scale says that I'm 42 percent fat. I know they tend to not be accurate, but when I calculate the numbers it seems realistic.

It can be hard to find the right protein powder that tastes good. Needtobuildmuscle's whey protein powders are really tasty. The Cinnamon Bun is awesome!! You get a lot for your money too.

Thanx so much, for the info. It always nice to get genuine opinions and useful information. I'll definitely keep this method of cleaning the bowel handy.

hmmmm, that's an interesting way of cooking them. Maybe I'll try baking them in the oven rapped in foil or somehing. It's a learning process right?

I either bake them whole in the oven (no foil, just in a dish or on a sheet) for 45 mins or so, then slice them when cold,
or for a treat I'll cut them into rounds raw, (just slicing it from end to end so the pieces look round-not too thin, about 1/2 inch thick), then toss them with olive oil, garlic powder, pepper, maybe some steak spice or italian seasoning, then place the rounds in one layer on a baking sheet, and bake at 375 till tender. baking time depends on how thin you cut them, but it's usually around 30 mins, maybe a little less.
