Will the local vet take it off your hands?
I will try. I haven't had her to the one here in G-town. Last vet was still in B-town, where I lived while I was prego. I'm going to try to post flyers at the vet to see if anyone can take her.

You have never seen a bigger animal lover than me. Seriously, I have rescued so many animals that it is crazy. I've NEVER dumped an animal at the pound or just abandoned them, etc. Nor would I. I just can't find anyone who wants her and she is destroying my house.

well cept for the time you forgot your cat on the high rise balcony and it jumped ;-)

That comment was directed at Army Vet. Anyone who just "gets rid" of an animal has some serious issues in their own life.

BM, it's a cat? ok and? What's your point. A child's life has more value than any other life on this planet"
Should we not respect all life? Because humans have brains, it makes us more valuable to the world?
Please enlighten me?!

Oh yeah, that poor kitty. :worried: That is my most guilty thing ever...lol. I didn't know I told that story on here.

lol. oops.

I believe that infanticide is regularly practised in India. To circumvent that government had begun placing cribs in areas around the country hoping that people will leave the children that they don't want and/or can't care for instead of just killing them. I also know that they have sonogram/abortion packages where the mother makes the doctor show her the dead fetus to make sure that a mistake was not committed by her aborting a son.

... just sayin is all.

EVERYONE is disposable.[/QUOTE]

No living thing is disposable., I think you've just been treated so badly in life, you actually believe this.
I would not dispose or anyone of any living thing. So in my world, no one is disposable.

I don't think we have a no kill shelter around here, unfortunately.

I've had it on craigslist many times trying to find her a home. I haven't received one single email of anyone wanting her.

Highly doubtful. Tell me where you live and I'll find one.

I respect all life. However, I do not now nor have I ever, nor will I ever elevate the life of an animal to that of a human being. PERIOD.

There is nothing I can say that will make you understand so we will agree to disagree. If you are going to quote Ghandi then you should be a bit better informed on his country's policies on human life before you use his quotes to support your feelings on animal life.

just saying. :whatever:

Yes, the life of a child has more value to me than the life of an animal. I should feel badly for this because...?

I respect all life but that does not mean I put all life on the same plane.

That is all. Nothing more and nothing less. :)
