I will ask, but I doubt it. They will probably put up a flyer for me, though.

I don't get everyone's hostility toward me, either. It isn't like a beat the damn animal. I did RESCUE her butt from the shelter afterall, or she would have been dead years ago.

It's interesting how easily feathers get ruffled for a topic that shouldn't. :whatever:

It's all good... either way I hope that you can find the cat a good home. If not... oh well. My son would be above all else and I am not the least bit ashamed to say that here on the internet, or out loud to someone's face. The fact that you have given the animal such wonderful home for so long already says more about you than you needed to say. :)

Hey she said she hates the pet.. If you hate the pet the pet probably senses that and is not happy. Their are also no kill shelters that will keep the animal until it is adopted.

That's okay. They said that they don't know of any no-kill shelters in Ky. She said it "just isn't feasible." She said that there used to be one in Frankfort, but that they are stringent about the requirements of what animals they would take. It was very hard to get an animal in there. SIGH. She didn't think that they even exist anymore.

Saying it's not feasible is bullshit. There are no kill shelters all over the place around here.

Another thing to look into...if you have any petsmarts in the area, they often do things in conjunction with rescue agencies like the one I volunteered with. These agencies may not have websites I can find through a quick google. Worth a check.

These are a couple you could call and find out about their kill/cage policies:

http://www.pawspets.org/Index.htm
http://www.lifehouse4animals.org/ <~~that one's definitely no-kill but it seems there may be a problem of room available. It might be a situation where you would have to wait for space to open up.

Neither are directly by you, but they seem to be in the viscinity.
Thanks, I read the info at this one in Frankfort. I'll email Mindy today on it. They said on the relinquishment page that they will also try to find a home right away if you can keep it with you until they find it a home. There is no waiting list for doing it that way. I'll try that.

drive the cat 20-30 miles from your house and set it free.. The cat will find a new home. Their instinct tells them to go where they smell food.

Jesus christ, you guys act like I abused the freaking little monster.

Nothing could be further from the truth. don't forget I RESCUED HER from the pound, have fed her, gotten her shots, petted her, doted on her, etc. In return she had RUINED thousands of bucks worth of stuff.

and I'M THE BAD GUY HERE?

SHEESH

I did not say that at all HR, YOU yourself said you HATE the cat - I only suggested there are others that may be more loving (at this point esp.). You didn't say you did all that for the cat and I'm sure she appreciates it.
