Hey your on the right track with the 5x5 routine. There are some good references on this site for that. Okay now you don't mention anything about your diet. Diet is everything when you want to put on mass. You have to eat BIG and clean. Post a sample of your diet, what you eat on a day to day basis, and I'm sure there will be people here who can help you.

I have cerial in morning then hour later eat snikers bar and cakes
Then 2 hoirs later have tuna sandwich and protien shake
Lunh time have cooked meal then again at dinner all fresh veg and meet chicken or beef .. Then protien shake and creatine before gym then then high calorie crap like crisps and cakes before bed ...

Looks like your heading in the right direction. I'd replace all candy bar and cakes with protein bars and shakes. As long as your getting 6-8 ounces of chicken, meat, or fish in at every meal you will be heading in the right direction. A Multi Vitamin and some creatine are also musts for the direction you are heading in. There are some great diet examples at the top of the discussion forums in the stickys. Make a detailed record of your diet for a couple days, then post an example for feedback.Cheers

I use 5X5 in my routine which is based off 3 day split.. its actually a good way to stay healthy too and you can stick with it for a while.

remember, its not just about hours but QUALITY hours you put into the gym. just like anything else you gotta go and learn from your trials and errors.

Adding 5x5 routines 2-3 days a week on top of my one muscle group a day routine really filled me out. You will see results, especially if you are on top of that diet. Good luck keep us updated
