can you get your hands on a ketone meter? tests the blood for ketones. Worth every penny.

Never heard of it but searched about it. Seems like its for diabetics. Unless you can buy it at walgreens I would say no. Plus my $ is low. :mix:

Started the revised diet today....(Will be edited throughout day)

12:00---30mins cardio
12:35---1/2 cup oatmeal with tablespoon flax, 6 egg whites, 1/2 green apple.
2:30---meal 2
3:00 Train (Chest,tri's)
4:30---meal 3
6:30---meal 4
8:30---meal 5
10:30--meal 6.

As for a few days I will be using flax instead of Udo's choice. I have 10floz of flax left and its a shame to make it go to waste.

You know what makes me laugh, is that Musclehealth is asking for our advice and some of you guys are busting his balls. How about just giving some constructive criticism and not the negativity. In alot of the Novice BBing shows they will be looking for how hard, ripped and symetrical you are. It sounds like he is using this show for the experience. I would add some EFA's and fibourous veggies. If you are ahead of schedule I would play around with the carbs to see how your body reacts to them which will be beneficial when you start to carb load b4 the show. Good Luck

I didn't go through the whole post, but X is right. If you don't eat enough fat you will not go into ketosis. You will stay in gluconeogenesis, which means you'll be breaking down muscle tissue. You need to choose if you want to be in ketosis or not and adjust your diet from there.

As I've said before you need to listen to your coach, which you said previously you had, and don't deviate. I think that you're asking too many people. This isn't a flame bro, just my opinion. Settle on a plan for the rest of the time and stick with it. That's the only way you'll know if it works or not.

Your metabolism has slowed down and that's why you stopped progressing. You need to add T3 to start it up again, as taking a break from the diet at this point is impossible. I think that you started off not eating enough cals, so your metabolism crashed quickly.

Again, meet up with your coach and discuss what's happening. Good luck.

Thanks bro. Question tho. Dont you think since I adjusted the fat intake should I be ok now? I want to be in a state of ketosis. I added 3 udo's choice tablespoons a day. Should I add more.

The problem is that if you want to be in ketosis you need to eliminate your carbs. At least when you're first starting this diet. I can get into ketosis and still eat some carbs, but I've been doing it for years. My body drops into ketosis very quickly. When I first started I had to eliminate carbs. I ate 75% fat and the rest protein. If you eat too much protein you will convert it to glucose and it will keep you out of ketosis.

So do you think I should do the whole ketosis thing? Or should I just leave the diet as is? What would you do if you were in my position. I have about 7 weeks left. Looking to drop about 3-4 lbs a week. Keep in mind....I have never gained extreme amounts of fat in my life. Lean as hell naturally.

If you're lean naturally I don't think there's any reason to get into ketosis. I would just leave the diet as is, but I would still add T3. I've found that CKD's will lower your metabolism fairly quickly due to the complete absence of carbs. Your metabolism has already slowed down.
