Men's Health cover models

They might drop a %bf or so before a photoshoot, also they remove lots of water before a photoshoot. I think they eat clean, good and stay away from booz, so I belieeve most of the year they are at 6-8%bf

nice post alfons.. people need to stop crying about doing cardio. because IT WORKS

I think most aren't very big, have great discipline to keep a low bodyfat year round, are already genetically predisposed to keeping a somewhat low bodyfat without a ton of work, and those that can afford it>GH/Anavar.

My wonder is why would you want to be skinny and cut when you can be big and cut. Imagine what these guys you are referring to would look like if they were 220 and 8% instead of 195 and 7%. Most guys on the anabolic board would tool on these pretty boys, mooowahahahahaha! :p ;)

Well, some of us just don't want to be big. Not that there is anything wrong, to each his own and all that. I have nothing but respect for those that do want to be big. It takes a lot of work to get there, Steroids or not. I however don't wish to look like Jay Cutler or Ronnie Coleman. I want something more than the cover-models but less than what others probably want. Basically, I want to look good without a shirt and still be able to have a full head of hair, though at the rate I'm going, I won't have to worry about either.:D

you have pretty much the same goals as me, although I would rather err on the side of a little too much size! :p

I hope you look good with a shaved head, I sure as hell don't and I'd venture to say I am losing my hair faster than most on this board!!! :bawling:

Owen's Shoulder and Biceps Workout
Exclusive to MensHealth.com

"I do this routine more to prevent injury than to build muscle," says Owen McKibbin. But anybody who tries it for a few weeks is bound to get some muscle-building benefit, as well as strength and stability around the fragile shoulder joint.

"I've put people on this shoulder routine, and it makes everyone feel better," he adds. McKibbin starts with a pair of 35-pound dumbbells and drops all the way down to 10-pounders. But when you try it for the first time, even if you're in pretty good shape, you probably want to start with 20-pounders and work your way down to 5's, or even your wife's plastic-coated 2 ½-pounders.

1. Press-and-curl combo
Sit on the end of a bench, holding the weights at arm's length, palms out. Curl the weights up to shoulder height, then twist them so your palms are facing out again. Now press them overhead. Lower the weights and repeat. Do 10 repetitions of the press-and-curl combo, then 10 of just the shoulder press.

2. Lateral raise
Drop those weights and pick up lighter ones (Owen uses 10's for this). Hold the weights at arm's length, with a slight bend in your elbows, palms facing your thighs. Now lift them straight out to the sides. Do 15 repetitions.

3. 90-degree lateral raise
Now put down those weights and pick up slightly heavier ones (Owen uses 15-pounders). Bend your elbows 90 degrees and do 15 to 20 more lateral raises.

4. Front raise
Put those weights down and grab the lighter ones (Owen uses 10's). Hold the weights at arm's length, palms facing thighs, and raise them straight out in front of you. Do 10 repetitions.

5. Reverse-grip press
Without resting or switching weights, hold the weights in front of your shoulders, palms turned toward your torso, as if you've just finished a biceps curl. Now press them up 15 times.

6. Rear-deltoid raise
Finally, without resting or switching weights, hold them down at arm's length again, palms turned toward thighs. Bend over at the waist. Raise the weights out and back, as if you were flying. Do 18 to 20 repetitions. Believe it or not, McKibbin then repeats the whole process. He may drop down to 8-pound weights for the final exercises. "But if my form is good, I stay with 10-pounders," he says. Do yourself a favor and wait a while before you build up to that.

I tried this routine for my past couple workouts and it is PHAT. I sweat like a pig and my delts burn like crazy, but I get a great overall delt workout from it... in under 10 minutes! I've also been trying what most of these dudes do... kind of circuit training with little-to-no rest in b/w sets of antagonistic muscle groups... again, it's tough, but I've been getting some sweet total UB workouts lately... all in about 45-55 minutes. Think I'm gonna stick with this for a while...

Tell me about it. I think that most people would like to be a little bigger then these guys! I am sure they don't look big, at all, in real life. I am not saying they don't look good.....just think that most people would be suprised to see how small these guys really are.

By the way, I don't know of anyone that is able to do a small cycle of steroids and pull of the Jay Cutler and Ronnie Coleman look. I would bet you guys anything that if one of these cover guys would do a small cycle 99% of you would say you would rather look him after the juice.

Too many people think that steroids turn you into a freak overnight. Not so!
