Max Effort Day question..

Hey bros, I haven't been on in a long time but still lifting. Anyway, I'm wondering why it's necessary to switch exercises while doing a max effort day (westside) every 1-3 weeks. I understand that you can go stale from doing the same thing over and over, but why haven't I ever seen rep changes? Wouldn't that be enough to disrupt the whole adaption process?

For instance:
1-3 weeks, you lift 3 singles >90% of 1rm.
Then, 1-3 weeks after that, you lift 3 doubles >90% of 2rm.
Then, 1-3 weeks after that, you lift 3 triples >90% of 3rm.
All with the same exercise.
 
hey oso how you doing man? What are your lifts and bodyweight at? Sorry I have no idea about your question though lol
 
hah I've been good, really busy with school. My bodyweight is around 195 and my lifts are back to 365 squat, 445 dead, 265 bench, 175 press. How are you doing? What are your stats at? You've probably surpassed me by now ;)

Nah man I'm sucking it I'm weaker than like beginning of summer because I've been running and backpacking a ton. I can do 14 deadhang pullups though, and I got a 291 out of 300 on my army pft this morning. Before I lost strength I was 195, deaded 445 (with a 5 rm of 380), then got up to a 5rm of 405. I probably was benching 275, though I never tested it. Squat I got 300x5, and military 165x1. I'm probably weak as shit right now though havent lifted in a while I'm at college now. Today I was only 6'1 183 :( Skinny as fuck...........
