Makavelli's cutting diet

Mak's physice speaks for itself for sure.
Incredible genetics.
His pics of his photoshoot were unreal.

Why steelcut oats over old fashioned? Is there a differance?

There is a diffrence in the GI index ^^^

but you can make steel cut oats or lower the gi of rolled oats by soakin them in water the night before... but there are some recent myths about whole gi scale coming to the surface ( i.e carrots high gi.. fructose low gi who gets fat from carrots? fructose can make you a lard ass)

Thanks, I figured it was something along those lines.
Those G.I. tables are always so inconsistent anyways.
I think I will just stick to my good ol' fashoined rolled oats then.

same... plus mixing good fats with good carbs changes the whole scale so ... quaker plain oats for me
I eat them w/ an oz. of almonds and some casein for slower absorption.

They taste better. They have more of a nutty and textured flavor. Not because of the GI. But they are left more intact than rolled oats.

Fructose can make you a lard ass?

Fructose blows unless you are carb loading before a show.

I like Maks diet. Very solid.
I have had great success with high carb approaches and low carb approaches but I feel the low carb approach takes less effort(though I beleive with the higher carb diet I was a bit fuller). and can ultimately be more rewarding.

I have been utilizing some of Palumbo's methods recently. Lotsa veggies, broad spectrum of fats(olive oil, CLA, Primrose, All variations of Nuts, Flax oil, Fish oil, etc) in addition to lots of Salmon, bison, chicken and casien/whey protien mixes. I still have carbs but they are entirely from Ezekial Breads and cereals. Working pretty well. I have been off AAS for about 18 months now and I am a solid 260 @ 10% BF. Cant wait to get back on the Boat.. :coffee:

With those stats why get back on?
Why such the long break?

Do you need to go to a health food store for these.
I only shop at Wal mart and I'm pretty sure they don't carry them.
I'd like to give them a try sometime.

I have a very slow metabolism at 5'7" 245. If I took in that amount of cals(2800). I would be 300 lbs. Does anyone have a similiar diet with less calories?
