Either I think about the lift, envision the rep completeing itself, or I don't think at all. Just zone into my music. Classic rock from High skool daze, or heavy pop. Some rap.
When I am about to lift I breathe heavy. and the adrealine i get is AMAZING. I just loose it and take out all that energy on the weights and it feels great.
Yup, now I do 4 sets of 20 reps for legs and 4 sets of 15 for upper body.
That is why I say, I can do this, I can do this!
eg: 15 of one arm barbell curl then immediately with no rest do 15 tricep bench push ups and then go back to the arm barbell curl (do that four times) rest for three minutes and off the the next set of exercises!
I also like misting to hard/metal rock with a hard beat. I love when I can just get a rythm and feel like a machine to the beat of the music with some heavy dumbell curls.
