I've actually been lifting for about 15, but consistently for the last 2.
I get the post workout "ache", about 2 days after the workout. Usually in my tri's, quads, calves, abs. Sometimes back, obliques. Rarely bi's, forearms, hams.
I do read the mags, sometimes I see a new exercise I haven't tried before, but the full workout programs they endorse are too much for me.
If I try a split like 2 days on 1 off, or even 2 on, 2 off, within a couple of weeks I get run down, tired all the time, achy, & unmotivated. Every 2nd or 3rd day works for me.
I'm diabetic, have sleep apnea, & I'm on HRT, so the whole deal just works in slow-mo for me.
