I really thinking of suicide would be my best choice now

RUN, dont walk.........

to the dermatologist......... if you are serious about killing yourself over acne - get you some acutane - I wouldnt even fuck with the milder things if its really as bad as you say

Wowa there chick...Almost all of us have gone through the acne stage.

One word if you haven't tried it: ACCUTANE!!!!!!!

Go to the dermatologist and get it! You will thank everyone later.

Most zits appear due to hormonal changes from what I have read. Therefore, avoid anything that will fluctuate these levels. Try lowering your carb intake down some to no more than 30-40%, and try raising your protein up to around 35-40%. Maybe a 40% protein, 30% carb and fat diet will help.

Drink lots of water.

Avoid high GI carbs which will cause fluctuations in hormones. This means shit like cookies, breads, cokes, and sugary infested foods in a nutshell.

Drink LOTS of water.

Take in some good antioxidants to keep your skin healthy...such as ALA (which has been researched in Germany on this matter, but i can't read the damn things), Vit's A, C, and E. Pycnogenal is great for the skin as well. Whether or not these will clear-up your acne, is up for grabs, but it certainly will not help.

Drink lots of water.

Although washing your skin is vital, do not overwash your skin too much to where is gets chapped.

Drink lots of water.

Vitamin B5 (pantothentic acid) has really helped some people clear up and lessen the redness of their acne...I have used it with great success lately from it preventing me from gaining any acne on a HEAVY androgenic cycle:p . This stuff is farely cheap. Try between 5 grams to 12 grams per day in divided doses for a month or two to see if it helps any. If it starts working, you 'may' be able to drop the dosage down to between 2-5 grams per day as a maintenace dose....

Drink lots of water.

Retin-A use every other day is very helpful for some if used ONLY lightly on the zits ONLY. Don't spread the shit all over your face...it will dry it out. The addition of Rubbing alcohol to the zits will help dry them out even more, again only on the zits themselves.

Drink lots of water.

Don't stress out so much with life, this definately doesn't help matters. I usually break out from stress during school finals. Controlling stress levels will be of benefit.

Drink lots of water.

that's all i can really think of right now.

BMJ

BTW...just because your getting a little acne on your face right now doesn't mean your body has to suck as well. Go to the gym and enjoy life:)

Regina :: i wanted to share with you a few other things i've learned about skincare that i wish i knew when i had acne so bad. everyone told me it was genetic, which it is, so i thought there wasn't much i could do about it... but besides the accutane, i could have done the following (don't know if you already do them so i'll list them all) ::

- drink water (try to drink a gallon a day) to clear out your system of any toxins
- run :: my skin is SO much fresher and clearer when i do.. when i stop for a week or more my skin breaks out more
- diet :: when i eat junk it does make my skin worse that it would be otherwise
- be careful what you put on your face :: the skincare industry does not tell you everything... a lot of products claiming to help acne actually make skin worse by irritating it! use a gentle cleanser like cetaphil, and use simple hydrogen peroxide to disinfect.. if you have oily skin use plain milk of magnesia to dry up the excess oil. as far as makeup, there is a book you can get that disects every makeup line and skincare line that could help you (you can check it out at www.cosmeticcop.com.. but i think it's cheaper on amazon)

PM me if you wanna chat more,

great post, but one correction... rubbing alcohol can be a skin irritant for some that could make matters worse... use the plain milk of magnesia. some women use it in the morning under foundation (turns your skin white) and in the evening. if you're skin is oily, don't use lotions.... on the other hand, if your skin is dry like mine you may not need to dry out your skin with anything since that isn't what causes my acne. for me, when i keep my skin balanced with moisturizers i get less acne.

Accutane is the shit. When I was 16 you could play connect-the-dots on my face. My dermatologist prescribed Accutane to me and 4 months later all the zits were gone - and they're still gone (10 yrs. later). Sure, my lips looked like a couple of strips of beef jerky for a while but it was a small price to pay for the end result. Go see the dermatologist and demand Accutane. You won't be dissapointed.

i myself have had severe nodular acne for the past ohhh 3 years. I've been to the dermotologist but after putting me on every treatment there is and not getting any results he just chuckled and said "well we can't completely get rid of acne". bastard. If you don't have insurance just skip going to some idiot doctor and find a source that sells accutane. I haven't done it myself (too much $$$) but i am about to try ALA and if what i hear is correct, it is going to be a big help.

B5 is GREAT for acne

I always had a little acne, got much worse when I started juicing. Then I found a study on B5, the results were amazing, I took 10g/day for a month then 2g/day after that. Backne is totally gone, my face is clearer than it ever was before. Give it a shot! Seems to work as well as Accutane but with no sides.

Hoep this helps! I know acne is tough to deal with. I couldn't even take off my shirt before I started B5.

Just want to throw my 2 cents into this.

Dabbing a little tea tree oil with a qtip on the zits will help dry them up FAST.
Actually, if you can get to them before they actually erupt and put tea tree oil on them (when they're still under your skin), then they won't erupt at all.

Zits can REALLY hurt. I had a bad case of cystic acne in my twenties and besides the appearance, they HURT and gave me headaches.

And it certainly sounds like Accutane works.

And YES - you should talk to someone close to you about the way you're feeling about this.

SHIT! I just reread your post - where you say you're 22!
Any problems with your periods becoming irregular or extra body hair. Changes in birth control or periods? Any weight gain?

It came on suddenly and you're NOT a teenager ... I didn't absorb this the first time. (I'm so dumb!)

You might have elavated androgen levels which can be caused by ovarian cysts. You might want to see your gynocologist and look into the possibility of ovarian cysts or a hormone imbalance. Staying away from high carbs will help lower androgen levels. And the tea tree oil helps, too.

Accutane----it has a 96% cure(success) rate

my wife has dealt with acne all her life---she is now 30---she ran accutane for 6 months last year and it worked very well, although the acne came back, she is now on it for another 6 months at a higher dose and her acne is all but gone....she has scarring but is going to have scrap and/or peal done in the future....

don't get to down on yourself about it--its nature--and their are a lot of diff--ways of attacking it---accutane may just be the answer for you...don't give up--their is just to much help for you out their.
