I know, there where skinny 10 year olds out driving me. I got up to 150 yrds with a 6 iron, which I guess is pretty good for the first time, although I am not sure.

I think I hit my pitching wedge that far. :doublefi: Stick to lifting weights broly. ;)

lol same here i can hit 150 with a pitching wedge!!

Damn, not only is everyone on these boards a hulking behemoth, everyone can hit their pitching wedge 150 yards! Assuming y'all don't just slam it and it goes God-knows-where, I hope to see you on the long drive championships sometime, since you're bound to be hitting it 300+. Man it feels good to be surrounded by amazing atheletes on these boards.

"Power is nothing without control" - thats off some car add on TV, but seems to be apt for sports too...

yep i hit 300 thats as far as the driving fence is like 300 but iv hit it over the fence befoer ( billy madison) last year we were at my moms work picnic and there was a driving range next to it and that was aprt of the picnic so we go over there and theres this barelle its 250 if you hit a ball in it you win a prize i go hey y not try 2nd hit i made it right in i got a free ticket to cedar point!!

Hit a couple buckets of balls and play 18 every day for 3 years and get lessons every week from a great pro and see where you are. 300 is not that impressive; sure, the average hack can't do it, but then again the average hack never takes the time to learn the proper swing path. Each and every pro on the tour can hit it well over 300, they just choose not to because they are much more accurate when they take a little off of it.

As far as the pitching wedge goes, there's too big of a gap between a 75 yard sand wedge and a 150 yard pitching wedge. That's why they make a gap wedge. I don't know where you play, but most experienced golfers hit their pitching wedge around this distance.

Well, maybe it is just who I have played with before, but the top notch guys who hit it 280+ were few and far between, and I think they hit their sand wedge about 125 or so but they were deadly accurate with irons. Congratulations if you can bomb it and still have accuracy. Also, I dispute that every pro on the PGA Tour can hit it 300+. For instance, people like Loren Roberts and Corey Pavin hit it 260-70. Could they uncork it for 300+? Maybe, but I was thinking you meant 300+ with some semblance of consistency or accuracy.
