How I lost over 200lbs. Thought I would share

I've read and learned a lot from this forum but I was always a lurker and just reading. Thought this might inspire and help some people.

I can only speak from experience here. I was painfully overweight. I was 230lbs overweight actually, couldn’t stand looking at pictures of myself.. After being alone for about 6 years and thinking about ending my life I decided I would get into shape. I had no idea how to lose the weight, so I started exercising. I tried to run every day and that ended in me over doing it and I ended up in the hospital one day. I found the biggest trick to get in shape that was actually easy. Food. It is that simple. You just need to know the right foods to eat and when. I didn’t eat any less food, just made some changes to my diet and that was it. I lost 200 lbs that way. Now I exercise and eat the right way and I couldn’t be happier. I was lazy and used a guide to help me out with knowing which foods to eat and some fat loss tricks. Anyway I just wanted to shape my story, good luck to everyone.

I was hitting 200 pounds when I realized to reduce weight. My blood works and cholesterol levels came normal but my blood pressure was elevated. I was prescribed medicine for BP but I was skeptical to start the dosages for BP. I learnt yoga from a guru and started practicing Surya Namaskar & Kapalbathi. I also started a brisk walking regimen. All these made me shed 25pounds in 3 weeks. I need to reduce 20 more pounds to reach my BMI but am really confident that I can reduce that with determination. I tried this regimen and it worked out well. Stay on fruit diet on the first day, fresh, baked or steamed vegetables with little rice along with fruits on the second day, steamed potatoes only on the third day, protein diet on the fourth day and gradually start with your regular diet from fifth day onwards. You’ll get variety everyday and get used to a nutritional diet.

Congrats! I know it's not easy, I was around 360 in high school, while I've not lost over 200, I've lost over 100 and I know it's tough.
