I have a 10 year old, when he was about 6-7, he say, "Loook Daddy, it's sticking out!" and laugh. I always told him that was OK, but keep it covered up, nobody was to see it but him. If my son said that to me now, I'd just make shure that he did know what it was and that he had the correct meaning, not something that he heard that was false.
