Help make an ideal cardio/lifting recovery drink

Hey,

I've been making my own mix lately of 1 pack of passion flavored ultimate replenisher and 50g of pure dextrose in 32 oz of water.

Problem is that the ultimate replenisher is expensive and I figure I can make my own for less. Question is how. Here's what I have concluded need to be ingredients:

Dextrose
Sodium
Potassium

What else though? I don't want to use any protein in this because it makes it complicated and I use protein seperatly.

Also, I don't know in what proportion to mix these.

Any help gets a big k hit (I'm 2 karma away from 4 dots myself). Anyway, time to stop wasting money on Gatorade, etc., and make something better and cheaper. Lets get going!

ultima replenisher is a dietic recovery drink. See here:

www.ultimareplenisher.com

no suger, 9g of complex carbs, no aspartame or splenda. The sweetner is stevia leaf extract. Tastes great to me (though I do dump 50g of dextrose into it).

kewl
nice site
well i don't use recovery drinks
i really don't work out hardcore
only 20-30 mins a day and an hours walk
water suffices for me
or ice tea

but back to your original question
look at the ingredients list for your replenisher:

you could drop the stevia
all the ones in bold i feel are crucial for what you want and might add the calcium as a buffer
hopes this helps bro

Kool-aid, salt, splenda and/or sugar is about all you need.

"use protein separately' What does that mean?
