For all you chocolate lovers....

I know that many ladies have a weakness for chocolate, I just want to remind you how gross you would feel if you overindugled.......

A little story:
Christmas Eve night while everyone was having drinks with their family/friends me and my BF stayed home. We thought we would take it easy, avoid the drinking & be able to hit the heavy bag on Christmas day (to help feel better about the large dinner we would be consuming) We decided to smoke a tiny bit of hash & watch the Christmas specials. First mistake!!! There is literally 50lbs of chocolate in my house at Christmas time. Normally it can be out on the table & I could care less. Well, the evil case of munchies set in, we ate our faces off. It was like we were 2 baboons, the more he ate the more I ate & visa versa. We were so ill all Christmas, it was hard to enjoy any of it. Not only did I feel physically repulsive, but I couldn't even think straight. Chocolate is EVIL and no good can come of it. It took me almost 3 days to feel normal again.

I know this is a long post, but next time you ladies crave chocolate, think how 1 leads to 10, and how hard you will have to work to beat that 'chocolate hangover'

I hope this helps you all to hide / throw away those left over Christmas goodies & to stay on track with your goals :)

The CHOCOLATE is evil??? Sounds like it was the little "christmas hash" that did you in!!!

Good post though. I know what you mean... it takes several days to normalize yourself after one day of crazy eating :(

Your right Ashley. Both are evil for me. I just can't get over how gross I felt.

I try to keep *some* very high quality chocolate in the house as a very small amount -- 1 or 2 pieces is enough to satisfy....

I also buy Viactiv Calcium Chews in chocolate & caramel flavors as they taste yummy & have 500 g calcium per chew.....

Next time you ummmm, *indulge* LOL put all the goodies in a cabinet & LOCK it & hide the key!! LOL

WAIT!! Next time, invite me over & I'll keep you away from the chocolate!! LOL Or give me all your stash, then you won't have to worry about it. heheheheheeeeee

I amuse myself......

:lmao: Sorry I can't help but laugh. Glad you are feeling better and I bet now you will never crave chocolate.

Weird thing is hash dosen't give me the munchies in the least but weed watch out.

HAHA. Cocoa is a great antioxidant, and women who eat more chocolate tend to have a higher libido when all else is controlled for. I think 75 grams per day of good quality dark chocolate is the RDA for both benefits. Maybe the trick is to eat a little everyday rather than eating none for a long time and then over-indulging.

Moderation you say? Shock Horror!

Anyway, I agree I think the hash was more to blame than the chocolate. After all, getting stoned makes overindulgence in food a certainty, and moderation becomes impossible.
