Food for Post workout?

Now, I take in my whey and usually a few rice cakes post workout...does anyone else do any WHOLE FOOD SNACK SOURCE?? Protein bars, granola bar, white bread , bagel, fruit? Like to have my whey and something fat and solid after training...thoughts?

Liquid protein and high-GI carbs are usually best PW to maximize absorption timing. 1 to 1.5 hrs post PW shake, a solid meal is the way to go, some lean protein and carbs, like tuna and rice.
 
i usually do my pwo shake ON After Max(tastes great by the way) and then an hour later 1/2-3/4 of cup oats with 1/4 cup sliced almonds and a few boiled egg whites. including my pwo shake, breakfast is the largest meal of the day for me.
 
I head home from the gym... usually a 20 min trip and I suck down a PWO shake of Whey, Creatine, Glutamine and Dextrose.

I may not eat a solid meal for another hour to two hours after that depending upon when my wife wants to eat. Then I will end up suckin down another shake sometime after dinner.

20 minute ride to the gym? That sucks bro.
 
I bring Whey, Creatine, Glutamine, and maltodextrone dry in a shaker to the gym.
Right when I'm done mix it up and suck it down.
 
I have a PreWorkout Shake(That i sip on through workout if there is any left its 25gWhey/30g Malto) Then i have my Postworkout. (50gWhey/30g Malto). I smoke Some Cannabis(No flaming here fuckers!) and then go home eat a real dinner. Chicken/Rice Steak/Rice Etc. And this is late too, around 9 oclock. Then around sleep time, gulp down another PredBed shake with a handfull of peanuts and im good for the night. Hows that sound for Meals after working out lol
