Up until my current age of 24 I used to be able to eat anything I want and hover around 10 - 12%. Well Lately that hasnt been the case. Looks like my metabolism is slowing down. Little depressing. Atleast bulking wont be a problem anymore.

Well atleast you werent as skinny as a pole in highschool. I had to eat 5000k to bulk which is tough.

Looking good ain't easy ;)

Don't keep crap food around (if u can...depending on living siuations) so you don't eat it.

I went through this at 24 too. While it did help me with bulking, I do have one bit of advice there. In college I would bulk pretty dirty - lots of burgers, fried chicken, junk food, etc. It worked fine then, but now if I don't bulk clean I get really soft. So if you, like I was, are used to bulking on meat, fat, salt, and junk, be sure to clean up your diet next time you try to add mass. Otherwise you could find yourself a lot fatter and only a little stronger.

Zax, you sound just like me. I used to have to eat shit food to bulk. Looks like I wont need to do that anymore. since jan I probabaly have gained 17 pounds of fat. One good thing about this is that it seems like im able to put muscle on easier as well. Did you notice that?

Yes the strength gains were there too, but all the extra bf necessitates a longer cutting cycle, and that means more weeks of muscle loss. If I never cut, it would have just been a huge amount of new muscle and fat. But since I cut periodically I look at progress as pre-bulk versus post-cut.

So the short answer is that yes I did get more muscle, but not if you net it against the losses from the longer cut. Cleaner bulks have since resulted in bigger muscle gains without the extra fat.
