I'm about to start a diet & training program aimed at losing bodyfat. I've been away from the gym for 3 years. Right now, I'm 30 years old, 6'4" 265lbs and 20-21% bodyfat. My goal is to reach 7% bodyfat. Here's the diet I came up with after doing a little research. It's a combination of John Berardi's "Don't Diet" & Carb Cycling. Everything is based on my Lean Body Mass, which is roughly 205-210lbs. Take a look and let me know what you think.
Weight Training Days
Meal 1
1 cup of Oatmeal
2 scoops of Protein Powder(All The Whey)
Workout- 45-60 minutes
Meal 2
1/3 cup of Dextrose
2 scoops of Protein Powder
Meal 3
1 cup of Oatmeal
2 scoops of Protein Powder
1 cup of Brocolli
Meal 4
8 oz Chicken Breast
1 cup of Brocolli
1 tablespoon of Olive Oil
Meal 5
Same as 4
Meal 6
1 can of tuna
1 cup of Brocolli
1/2 tablespoon of Olive Oil
Meal 7
6 Egg Whites
1 scoop of Protein Powder
1 tablespoon of Olive Oil
2 cups of Salad(Romaine Lettuce & 1 small Tomato)
I'm not one who counts calories around the clock, but this comes up to roughly 2850-2900 calories, on weight training days, which will be 3(Monday, Wednesday & Friday). Protein is at 336 grams, carbs at 205-210, and fat is 80 grams. I'll also be using a combo of Vinegar & Lemon Juice with each meal to lower the glycemic & insulinemic response. Now, I'm about to post my diet on the primary cardio days.
