Distal Bicep Rupture right arm/radial nerve palsey

I was hoping someone could give me so advice or words of incourgements? I had my distal bicep surgrey on 3/5/08 and the surgery went very well. Arm and bicep are doing great........Problem is I can not use my right hand or fingers due to a radial nerve palsey. This was caused when the radial arm nerve was moved, bumped or something else. The doctor does not think it was cut based on the Nurolegy report. None of the Doctors will tell how long this radial nerve palsey problem will last. They all say it could be 5 weeks or 2 years............It has showed no sign of improvement.......I have to wear a hand splint so my fingers will flex when I move my wrist..........What sould I do? I want to use my hand and fingers again..........It is my right hand and I am right handed....................

Some nerve palsies can be permanent.

If in doubt, go to another physician for a second opinion.

I had the same surgery 1 year ago and now my hand feels paralized can not even hold a pen.... waiting on a new doctor to look at it to see if it is related....anyone have sugestions for me...?

did any of you get a EMG? nerve test to see exactly where nerve is damaged? im havin similar problem now but not with bicep...behind shoulder....was doing back and pulled it bad. woke up 2 months ago with left hand numb.. had mri of neck and spine..also shoulder...no damage but going for EMG next week to determine where median nerve is damaged...3 fingers on left hand still numb after 2 months...killing my gym days....
