ok, now bbing is pretty much my life. all my time, energy, etc is spent improving (eating, training, etc). the wrestling program in our school district wins state almost every year. we're also ranked nationally about every other year. the coach (has been coaching many many years) talked to me today. turns out our heavyweight spot needs to be filled or we're really going to do bad this year. he's being very nice and generous. i could even lift at school without being hassled by other coaches.

thing is, i think all that cardio will hinder gains, especially considering i can barely eat enough just lifting and no other activities. remember, bbing is basically my life.

i dont think there would be a way to compromise bbing to wrestle. what do you think?

personally I think it would be worth it to wrestle for a nationally ranked team, but if you don't wnt to then don't, but then again, what kind of equipment does your school have? you could stop bulking for right now, and cut, so you won't have to cut more down the road

If I was in your shoes. . . .I would do it!!! I wrestled in high school and I really enjoyed it. However, it is one of the most difficult sports. All I can say is that you will burn calories, and will sweat at least 2 to 3lbs of water during practice. If you are affraid of hard work, sweat, possible injuries, and strenuous practice. . .then this is not the sport for you.

You have plenty of time to bodybuild. Try something new. Learn the basic techniques . . . .double legs, single legs, cradles, etc.

thing is, i've wrestled most of my school years.. i think i hated it most of the time.

i dont think im going to go to college, maybe a tech school, so i dont need to worry about what looks good on an application.

i'm not afraid of hard work. i bust my ass every day that i lift and i'm extremely dedicated to bbing. that's why i think i couldnt compromise this..

i dont know.

by the way, i made a frickin spelling error in the title of the thread. lol, supposed to read: 'dilemna'

From personal experience, I had a lot of fun being on the state championship xc team, that holds the record for best score ever at the state meet, even though i didn't run at that meet;)

Hey Eugenius, what is the deal with link you have. It scared the crap out of me. It was long as hell too.

Jeremys, I had the same problem actually. I did not wrestle because I wanted to lift weights. I had football season before however, so I was quite exhausted from that. I do wish that I would have wrestled do. It is a great sport for teaching mental toughness. It is really up to you though and what means more to you. You may want to atleast give a try and go to a few practices and see how you like it.

haha, yeah, i dont know. i guess every time i read a post in this thread i'm hoping somebody will convince me to stick with bbing. i dont know why, probably jsut because thats what i want to do

btw, this coach hinted at steroid use during our talk. of course i have gained 75 lbs since he saw me last (like 2 years ago) so i look a lot bigger, even though half is probably fat. he hinted a couple times. i think he thinks he's on to something. lol
