Damned squats are killing me.

I've been putting off legs for two days now. Squats are sooooo much work. I'm 6'5" and I use good form. Damn....the sweat rolls. Sometimes the only thing that makes it worthwhile is the attention and smiles I get from girls in the area. They appreciate the form and effort. Could I get similar results if I didn't go so far down? I see a lot of guys only going half way down. Hell...I could do at least twice the weight that way.

Yes, I have found that if all I do is rack the weight and make no movement up or down, I can lift like 5 times my normal squatting weight.

I look really tough and strong when I do that.

when i don't go all the way down i don't even feel it in my legs,i say fuck that and go down...i love to hate squats!!!!!

It's not about the weight unless you're a competative powerlifter, and even then, you're not going to win any competitions going halfway down.

Do it right. You'll get more benefit out of squatting 200lbs correctly than you'd get squatting 800lbs incorrectly.

you're right warik.........form and hit it...if you ain't feelin' it inthe legs don't do it......it ain't about the weight and that 2 inch squat bullshit is for the birds!!!!!!!!!!!!:mix:

Do the damn squats!!! There are sooo many benefits of doing squats and most people somehow rationalize that they don't have to do them because they're so tiring.
Let me ask you this: Do non-weightlifters or guys who "take it easy" in the gym usually look as good as those that bust their ass in the gym? No!!! Yes squats are harder than most exercises and that's why you should be highly suspicious that they have more benefit to you IMO (as studies have shown).

A couple of weeks ago I didn't feel that sore after squatting. I thought my form must've not been that great. Last week, I really concentrated on it and was sore as all hell :)

I used to hate squatting, but now its my favorite lift. I love the challenge. Also, I think I've only seen one other guy squat except me in my whole gym!
