Cheapest protein per gram?

There may have been a question asked similar to this before. What do you guys (broke college guys especially) choose to eat during a bulking diet that you can afford? My stomache can pack down some serious calories, but that doesn't mean much if your wallet can't handle it. I have found eggs and milk to be cost effective. But as far as meats go, do you go with ground beef chuck, tuna, chicken breasts? Thanks!

Whatever's on sale. When 3 lb. bags of chicken are half off, its only 2 bucks a pound for good protein. But then again when the 97% lean ground beef goes on sale, its only 1.67 a pound, and not bad either. If you don't mind lots of saturated fats there's always 70% lean ground beef that i've seen as low as 1.30 a pound.

tuna is normally the cheapest of the bunch. If you can get into one of those Costco thingies, then you can buy a bag or 2 or 10 of low-priced chicken breasts too. Depending on pricing, they are a close second

I get all mine from http://www.supplementdirect.com/ They seem to have competitive prices and good products.

tuna is by far the most cost efficient source of protein plus the EFAs in it are priceless

Cottage Cheese

At Sam's I get 3lb tub for $4.88, and its 12g protein per serving, 11 servings. Seems this and eggs could provide alot of protein for cheap.
