Well....I am now adopting this diet...I have been looking to clean up my eating for awhile(no fast food, soda) and still want to grow..

I will be making a few minor changes but I bought all the food I need today!

Keep us posted on your results........

plemty of sat. fats in red meat.......2% milk is def. not necessary......

I would NOT replace your red meat and chicken selections with oats......thats for sure.

Yeh I'm going to use skim instead and I reduced the milk consumption by like 1\2.....

I'm going to keep the meats the same as in the original post...

Even bought some fish oils today :)

This will start tomorrow morning..I will put some updates in the training section...hopefully put my training journal in there as well...

Lose the cheerios in both meals........replace the am ones with another 1/2 cup of oats and the pm ones with some almonds or peanuts.

you got enough fat with the eggs and fish oils in meal one. Lose the 2% and either mix your oats in water and add in a protein scoop, or use skim/1%

the pasta and orange juice need to be dumped in your 3rd meal. I'd either use brown rice or a sweet potatoe. If you want pasta, use 100% whole wheat or a couple slice of bread. The juice can be replaced with H20.

I'd switch the PW shake to post workout and have a solid meal about an hr after. Maybe add in the gluc. instead of the OJ. Substitute the mashed potatoes with a yam or even sweet potatoes.

...most of the food I picked because I have experience eating it and know I can stomach eating it at those levels. I'm gonna need some rationale if I'm gonna change so many of the foods to ones that I don't enjoy as much.

BTW, how much do you weigh ?
and are you juicing ?

Appreciate the comments. Chicken cause it's cheap, cheerios because I can eat tons of them when I'm already full. But I will switch it up with oatmeal some days.

Weigh 160 right now... not juicing. Thought about running a moderate prohormone cycle, but then I read some stuff about how certain bones grow until you're 25 (I'm a little under 21) and it scared me a tad.

Also, to ChewYx -- You got it, I like 2%. It gives me a decent amount of fat without being whole-milk level disgusting. I've done bulking where I drank 8 glasses of milk a day. It worked but I farted like a frickin buffalo, that's why I toned it down to 4 glasses.

Dude....I just tried to help out........the foods I chose are more nutrionally sound than yours, hence better results......that's enough rationale for me, but you are more than free to do as you chose. At 160, you should be eating everything tht isnt nailed down anyways........

First Synpax, then me, and now Casual. "v. 1.0" haha, goodshit.

The diet looks solid man. I know you're an ecto, so you need all that food and then some. I wouldn't do the milk thing, but mainly because I love water so much now and milk is supposedly unhealthy for you.

I wouldn't really change anything. You are a casual bodybuilder, like your name implies, so no reason to take it to such lengths that it makes you unhappy. If you like eating the pasta and Cheerios, then man, do it. I agree with JKurz that his choices are more nutritionally sound and would probably provide for better results, but I don't think it means that much to you that you'll go and make yourself miserable.

Milk is a staple, but just move it to the low-fat cariety..........you have plenty of sat. fats, no need for additional.....

Only comments I can make is I would keep the high carb meals as low in fats as possible and I would cut the carbs out a few hours before bedtime. All in all it looks solid.

Actually, it's been proven time and time again that the whole carb late night theory is shotty...........Esp. if you train in the evening............It's all based on caloric intake and outake that will dictate whether you store fat or not......I include carbs prob. abot 30min. before bed, with no ill effects. I keep them to the non-starch variety, but still include them.

Also, IMHO, the carb + fat theory is a joke too. Maybe it's just be, but I have pro.,carbs, and fats in every meal, except PW (not fats)............not a flame, just my thoughts...............
