Can't drink with the gf

Generally, I don't give much thought to other peoples opinions of me. When i'm drunk, that indifference goes up by a factor of 100 or so.

It's cool wheh you're young and/or single, we all have to grow up sometime.

No worries about you growing up anytime soon, dear. :)

Let's see.

tomorrow's Thursday - call her and tell her that your friends have planned this guy's night birthday bash and that you would like to spend time with her for your birthday (yadha yadha) on Thursday (so you can have some time alone - without the "guys") - if Thurs doesn't work try for Sun (you'll be worthless on Saturday don't bother). You have to tell her ASAP in case she had made plans for your b-day or was going to make them.

2 months - that's a pretty new thing and her response to the above will tell you A LOT about her maturity level and neediness level. People who are never ever single and go from relationship to relationship (no not sexual relationships) tend to be needy.

She does already have stuff planned out. That's what the problem is because I told her I didn't care to drink this birthday. She is fairly mature about things and not very needy from what I have seen so far.

Is it for friday too?
Maybe she'll understand or perhaps you should just be honest and talk about the observation of fighting when intoxicated.

Maturity and lack of needy are bot good things.

:)

The brain gets closer and closer to primal state ( your senses of whats right and wrong dimish amongst other things) when you get to much alcohol. The saying that you show your true self when you are drunk is very flawed. When you are drunk, the part that make you what you are (your conscience, sense of right and wrong) is almost out of function. A very drunk person can be compared to the ape-men that we original came from who react mostly on instinct ( fuck, eat, sleep).

My gf and I get along great when drinking together. Only once have we gotten into a fight drinking, and thats cause she was flirting with one of my friends. She says she didn't realize she was doing it either

And true dat on the getting stoned together thing :)

I think with some people it does effect their brain chemistry in strange ways.

My ex could be fucking evil when she was drunk. The behavior was insane at times. It made going out with her a real hell sometimes. Even at 4am she was too wired to wantt o go home, and was violent about not being ready to leave. But she wasn't drunk in the slurring, didn't know where she was kind of way. Just mean, coherently so.

Im in the happy/horny crowd of drinkers

We have already talked about it. Whatever happens we try and fix it right away so it doesn't grow into a larger unfixable problem.

I'm sorry - I'm a complete spaz.
I didn't realize that you already had.

That's awesome.

I hope you guys can work it out, if seems that you could if you can both talk about it.
