Can you guys give me some advice on training for my "off season"

Hi GG! It is just using a barbell (you can add weight or just use the barbell) and switching from one exercise to another without rest. Resting only between circuits.

The articles show a list of different exercises that are good circuits. It can really kick your butt. You can get a great fullbody workout in a short amount of time.
 
I am a guy but something that got my running stronger when I trained with one of my buddies we would do 20 minutes of Cardio by Pushing a Car :)

One of us would hop in a slip it in Nuetral and the other would push like a OX nice a slow

at first it seem easy but Bam you hit a wall Fast.

Use a new parking lot ( shcools on weekend are perfect)
that is 100% flat amy slant willmake it too hard or imposible to push a car

You just reminded me that there was a trainer in my gym who had people doing that.

He also recommended running stairs/hills, and also walking/jogging carrying someone else..........

BINGO!

Running stairs is awesome! I've run the stairs at a local football stadium to throw a lil spice into my workouts,it damn near killed me! lol


Gymgurl- have you tried some yoga for the stretches you want to incorporate? Check out a yoga class in your area!

Now your talking. I would recommend starting by pulling a sled. You can make one easily. Just get an old tire, throw a rock in the center for weight, get a rope and belt. Then just drag it. :)
