im setting up my new split. just need everyone's input.

i will be doing wsb training coupled with strongman.

monday - off
tueday - de upper or lower
wed - de - lower or upper
thur - off
friday - me upper or lower
saturday - me lower or upper.

my reason for listing it like this is because i plan on doing events on saturday. so which would be better?....... to do events on the same day as me lower, or me upper. either way it would give me 2 days off before i would do the other de day on tuesday.

another question............. would it be so bad to work out on the 4 days above, then do events on sunday?

just looke for some input here.

Do your events on Saturday...after you do your ME lower day. You can't go balls to the wall on ME lower day either...your events will suffer.

Jason tried to train in the gym 4x per week AND do events on Sunday with us...he could not do it. The body will only take so much.

I agree, I use clints exact routine and it works awesome.

On ME lower I use these basic guidelines

Max effort Good Morning or deadlift variation
Reverse hypers
heavy ab work
calve work

sometimes i will do a squat variation for reps after my ME move

then on to the events...
 
well ok.........just out of curiosity.......... couldnt i do me upper bodyday on saturday and then do the events?

I feel the events mostly in my lower body...I would think of it as another lower body workout in addition to your ME workout and DE workout...thats alot of work...and this is one big run-on sentance
 
cool, i see your point with the whole lower body day. i will only be doing 3 events per week. what about if i just did 1 of each of them on my three off days.???

If you can get ahold of the last issue of Monster MMuscle, it outlines strongman training, the events, the split is wsbish, it is a four page guide to strongman training and it looked solid to me.
 
well..... i guess training 7 days a week sounds no fun. so scratch that idea.

unfortunatly ironcubby........ i dont even know what that mag is. anyway you can sum it up for me.

here is my thing. i dont want to not be able to go balls to the wall on my me leg day. im still trying to bring up my general strength with wsb. i like the program im doing. i dont know. i think i just may do most of the events for time. like as many reps, flips, whatever in 60-90 seconds. 4 events per saturday. 1 set per event.

Just pick something...your body WILL tell how how and what to change...just listen to it a lot.

You better be getting ready for July!!!!
