BuffaloGal's Log

Thursday, Feb 9th

9 am: HIIT Cardio on treadmill
5 min warmup and 5 min cooldown
30 sec sprints @ 8.5MPH, 1 min rec jog @ 5.0 MPH x 7 cycles
**I always go 8 cycles but the stupid speed buttons on the treadmill got
screwed up. Think I was clicking to fast for it and by the time I got it
back up to speed it was useless.

17 oz water

9:30 am: 1 Glucorell-R

Meal 1: 9:50 am

2 T-Rex
multivitamin
potassium supp
1/2 c egg beaters
2 tky sausage patties
1/2 c oatmeal w/ 1 scoop whey and splenda
1 liter water

People were staring at me while I put my baggie of protein powder in the oatmeal. They must think I'm a druggie now...

Was a really cute guy in there that kept staring at me. I've seen him before so maybe he's a regular. Can't wait til tomorrow morning to see if he's there again...

1:30 pm: 1 Glucorell-R

Meal 2: 1:50 pm

4 oz roasted chix
peppers and onion
2 brown rice cakes
15 raspberries
1 liter water

5 pm: 2 Glucorell-R

Meal 3: 5:15 pm

2 T-Rex
cream of sweet potato soup (awesome, but prolly not too healthy)
5 oz salmon
small sweet potato, plain
1 small slice bread
1 liter water

This SO rings true, by the time my Incline adjusted from FULL to maybe 5, it was time to lower and speed & recover ... now im a pro, but still annoying :) lol bah ... ***

You're right Bunns, I need to mix up this HIIT cardio. 30 sec is starting to be too short of a time. Maybe I'll try increasing the sprint time before tweaking the incline. These treadmills at the gym are old and take awhile to come up to speed. Can't wait til I get mine back - only took 4 sec to go from 5mph to 8mph.

Did I ever mention how much I LOATHE cardio...

IP, I ended up joining Bally's after saying I would never go back.

Main reason is because there are only really 2 good gyms in the area. The one was packed in the evenings and Bally's is almost always empty. They even have a long, side area that's empty so I can do my walking lunges and the other place didn't.

Plus, it is laid out EXACTLY like my last gym was and I'm a creature of habit. I just ignore the idiot who showed me around and people are finally getting used to seeing me in there and don't stare quite so much.

It's helpful that all the machines are the same brand as my last gym. A little older but it just has that same "feel." I definitely needed something last week that felt familiar and so that's why I joined Bally's. Being that the gym is my social place I had to be comfortable there, so hopefully it won't be bad. So far, so good... :dance2:

That is great!! The bottom line is that you joined a gym AND it is one that you feel comfortable in with a little feel of home!!

ALSO, congrats on selling the HOUSE!!!!!!! I bet that is a HUGE relief, I am so happy for you!! :elephant: :dance2: :elephant:
