Bodybuilders Are Stronger Than Powerlifters!

I am a bodybuilder so if anything, I'm biased towards that, but you are soooo wrong. Powerlifter I used to train with would squat 10 sets of 3 reps on 600+lbs, with 1 minute rest between sets. With or without your mathematical equation, there in no way a bodybuilder could match that. And he was natural as well

I just wanted to mention that I completely agree with endpoint and needsize and I have great respect for them, not only because of their candor but also because..THEY KNOW WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT, Alex.

Seriously dude: most people have had enough of your uber special posts declaring that squatting 1 inch will make you super powerful, etcetera ad nauseum.

If you want big useless muscles, be my guest but don't insult those amongst you who are functional rather than shallow and far stronger and more educated than yourself.

Here's a thought: who gives a shit who's stronger? I, personally, couldn't care less. This whole thing reminds me of elementary school recess discussions:

Child 1: "No way. Superman would kick Batman's ass"
Child 2: "But Batman has the batmobile. He could just shoot Superman."
Child 1: "Yeah, but bullets can't hurt Superman."

blah, blah, blah, blah

You are right. Maybe you should enter a powerlifting meet and put 225 on the bar and do it for high reps just to impress the crowd. After you get to 20 reps...they will be screaming and yelling at you...pushing you farther in amazement. :)

I pulled a 70,000 lb fire truck for 75 feet last October...wow...let's try that fuzzy math again.

Shoot...talk about one heck of a lift. I am a powerlifting monster.

I find powerlifting (as a competitive sport) to be very boring. It does not attract me at all, but I still respect them a lot. Just try to become an 800lb squatter. Yeah...I bet that 800lb squatter would probably have problems doing 225 for 20...NOT. What you do not realize is that 500lb squatter can probably also do 365 for 20 reps...probably.

What the hell? Do you ride the short bus to school, boy? Did you parents drop you on your head when you were little? Is there something in the water up there, like, I don't know, fucking retard serum?

Reading a million articles and coming away with NOTHING except odd tidbits of information ("Intensity sets may require up to 5 minutes...."), and amazing feats of analysis like that complete and utter bullsh*t that you started this thread with... now THAT is just sad.

Look, if you post a fallacious argument, fine. But at least have a little bit of humility and know when you're outclassed.

Do you even lift? Or just read shit, let it bounce around in that lump of gray goo you call a brain, then spit it back out intact (albeit jumbled beyond recognition).

I'm done.

Sorry.

Obviously I wasnt the one who was dropped on my head. But again my IQ is a bit higher so that is why there conflict of intellegences happens.

My comment was right! The only wrongt thing was with you.

Here is my defence:
Muscle size is directly related to its cross sectional area.
Bigger the cross sectional area - more volume to the muscle.

More force output equals bigger muscle.

Bodybuilders have bigger muscles than powerlifters (those powerlifters who are pretty muscular either employ bodybuilding + powerlifting program or have great/different genetics).

Thus bodybuilders are stronger ( not in 1 rep strength but OVERALLY). Bodybuilders have greater force output in unit of time. Note I said unit of time, for you here mathematically/physcially illiteratre - you wont get the concept . So powerlifters eeem stronger.

If powerlifters would truly be stronger, they would be more muscular. Obviously it doesnt happen. mr Ed Coan or who ever doesnt exactly pose on Mr O stage....

I present the truth's and fact - you present swears. It doesnt take much to figure out who is smarter!

I now know why people view bodybuilding as "dumb sport for dumb asses."
Unfortunately it holds true... So dont get offended!

LMAO.

okay, this is worthless.

Yep! Thank you belial from using swears! Only uneducated thugs use swears. As intelligent people we talk science!

hey you are smart! Atleast you have realised that you cant argue with me on some topics as i would beat you.

Great. Better say nothing than to say something dumb.

yep, it is worthless to discuss this issue, as i said something that cant easily be beaten or beaten at all.
