Anyone NOT watching the game?

Whoa. That sounds good. Almost makes me want to get cable/watch tv. I'll prolly just wait til they release the series as a box set on disk. It bothers me to jump into the middle. I gotta watch shows in order.
Is it the first season? Do u think it's on disk, yet? Is it as good as it sounds? Tell us more.

i just came into it several episodes back...this is the 2nd season. the first seasons DVD is available. it's definitely the kind of show you can get into, if you find the subject of ancient rome interesting (and i bet y'all do). however, i can't help but compare it to classics of film like Cleopatra (Liz Taylor, Richard Burton, Rex Harrison, Roddy McDowall, et al.). it will, naturally, come up short in such comparisons because the acting and the dialogue aren't stellar, but it's good enough to enjoy. and if you're like me, you can get into almost anything, once you've watched enough to have a sense of the story, characters, etc.

at this point, julius caesar has been murdered, which of course is rather important, and several episodes' worth of stuff has happened since then.

new episodes of season 2 air on HBO every sunday night at 9pm.

I'm going to watch both the previous episode and the new one on hbo west. I can still have my cake and eat it too.

That sounds watch-worthy. I'll pick it up the next time I leave the house.... or maybe buy it on ebay for cheap. Thanx.

There's a whole discussion forum dedicated to the veracity of historical sites and events. Lots of Roman history buffs, really accurate portrayal of costume and the oratory of Marc Antony and Brutus at Julius's funeral (although they left the actual speeches out), and Brutus's subsequent expulsion from Rome.

I'm a Verenus fan, dude's a psychopath.
