Any C-section Mums out there?

Ok, Have had 2 c-sections and a few other lower ab slices/ops over the past 11 years. Would like to know what others have done to work back into getting the abs tight...thanks pals:)

I only have had 1 C-Section, I didn't do anything different, I do abs for like 3 minutes every now and then. :)

I'm a C-section mom of one as well.

I got back into working the abs as soon as my doc released me to do so. I also trained LIGHT thru my entire term( no ab work of course).

Have you not trained abs in several years or something? I'm a bit confused with the ? you're asking.

BG..3 minute routine huh? lol Ya devil! Don't we all wish it were that damn easy!?

Yes, tis true, BG.

It sounds like she has a different goal in mind perhaps?! Just like there is a HUGE difference 'tween your abs and mine . I guess she needs to explain in more detail what she is looking for and her goals!

Details are embarrassing, but hey, we're all ladies, so here goes.
I have a strechmarked, saggy, "pooch" hust above my scar. It is ugly and I can't enjoy any of my cute suits now. Maybe it is more the skin than the abs, but after my 2nd baby it has never lifted back into place. My goals are to be healthy, energetic, and have a lot of strength and endurance to enjoy the adventures of my life.

Well Hon....Are you thinking of having this removed by surgical procedure?(If I'm NOT mistaken I think Kinimom had this procedure done- she's sweet enough to ask this ? too directly for advice). I'm not sure what the procedure is called, but I'd tell you to try a quick search on here for any info.

If funds ARE an issue and you can not afford this procedure...YOU still CAN have a fit body to enjoy!

Proper diet and excerise can RE-SHAPE YOU- NO MATTER your age or level of fitness you'e at now! You can change starting RIGHT now the direction of your future health! IT'S NEVER TOO LATE!

My VERY best pal, mother of 4(she too had allll C-sections) NEVER got back into shape after each child.AFTER 15 years of crying and moaning about her tummy and HER entire BODY ..SHE is FINALLY allowing me to help her get back in shape. Hey, it's a slow process and Jamie is 90 lbs OVER weight! You know what? I DO NOT allow her to step on the scales(THE MIRRORS ARE NEXT- LOL). I ripped that bastard out of her house cuz she's yelling that the weight is NOT coming off FAST enough.Excuse me? Did she think years of abuse would be easy to rid in a month? Set simple goals for yourself and be HAPPY with ANY progress! SHE has to look past NUMBER'S and look at the INCHES she's lost during this process! KEEP GOALS SIMPLE AT FIRST AND DIET CLEAN!

Do you belong to a gym? Plan on lifting weights at home?

Duck, if you have a toned, healthy body with proper nutrition...SCREW THE LIL TUM YOU MAY HAVE...WORK ON FIXING WHAT YA GOT! You may be able to lessen that lil tum with some good ole sweat and diet. DO NOT BEAT YOURSELF UP IF IT DOES NOT COME OFF(it may take the knife to get rid of it).....WORK WITH WHAT YOU HAVE AND PERHAPS have a "slush fund" as a reward for getting the REST of your body fit!

Stick around here and learn from the ladies. Do some reading on the search function or ask ?'s so someone can direct you to an answer.

IMPORTANT:Love yourself enough to allow yourself a better future!

My wife began exercising as soon as possible after her C-section. Our son took after me and was nearly her size when he was born. She had a fair amount of excess skin.

She worked her abs in the traditional manner, until I convinced her to work them heavier. She dieted the fat off.

She had to have about six inches of skin removed. My wife before pregnancy was 99 pounds. Our son was 10 pounds, 5 ounces, so there was quite a bit of stretching going on.

my hubby & I go to an athletic club here...the only gym with showers in town! LOL Weights? definitely! Need to research the cost of that surgical procedure VB...find out recovery period, risks, etc. Thank you SO MUCH for the motivation and encouragement! You people are so great:) I loved the link posted for Tonja's Place~VB has your friend seen it? Very inspiring!
