I AGREE. There is no legit reason. I've said this a million times but 4 states have this law. IL, New Hampshire, Vermont, and one other east coast state.

yes there is. Limo tint = danger. hard to see thru at night for the driver and it's also risky for cops... they want to be able to see whats going on inside... they dont know you, shit from shineola... and if your tint is dark... how could they even know your a young girl driving... not like he pulled you over just for that.... come on now, smart girl!!! :)

I have legal tint on my car.... what state are you in?

Unfortunately what you have is illegal so he was in his right to pull you over and being that you have no plans to remove them, you'll have to get used that stupid cop and others pulling you over.
Oh I know. I have no problem that he pulled me over (which many don't seem to get). My problem is that he has tried to abuse his power as a police officer and while doing that, he was a complete prick to me, and told me INACCURATE information about what I could/could not do.

THAT is why I was pissed off. And now people are trying to turn this on me being spoiled for owning a nice car? Give me a freakin' break...

no where in the first post did you explain how he was a prick.. I bet people think I'm a prick too when I call the police on them when they threaten to kill themselves.. I'm just doing my job but god I'm a prick!
I didn't explain. I guess that was what I was planning on doing as the thread got going but then people shifted it to how I was a spoiled brat...

Funny - that was never brought up until someone asked me what kind of car I drove and I answered (stupid of me).

Wtf? How do you come to that? You have no idea what I have done in my life and just because it doesn't qualify under a "job," doesn't mean I haven't worked. I shouldn't have to explain myself to you. No offense but just because someone receives things from their parents (and btw, you are judging me off of ONE thing I have received), doesn't mean they haven't worked hard for other things or FOR THAT. I didn't have to earn my money.. but I had to earn it in other ways.

You have absolutely no idea about my life and you should not judge me. I would not do that to you no matter what amount of money you had. You sound like you're being a stuck up asshole because a kid got something from their parents. My God - who needs the lesson? Me or you?

How close minded of you to judge another you have NO idea about.

pls explain how you "earn" your money?? Do you mow the yard and unload the dishwasher?

LMAO. I know this is what they claim (why they pass this law). That's BS. In 46 other states this law does not apply, so any semi intelligent person would obviously come to the conclusion that tints don't make a big difference. With my car anyway, from where he was at (his position) he couldn't have seen in even if my car didn't have tints (just because of the shape/size of my car).

I am not saying he wasn't wrong for pulling me over. I am pissed because he was a prick and was not honest about the law.

I didn't say I earned money (if you read). And that isn't your business. I had to do many things... accomplish multiple goals (that I obviously wanted to do). So tell me oh family psychologist.. why, because i have a nice car, is that wrong?? I am still succeeding in life, doing good, volunteering, earning other things I want, accomplishing goals, challenging myself, etc... so why does a CAR make such a HUGE difference? Please.. do explain?

LMAO. I love how people generalize after getting ONE bit of information. Can't you use your own brain and learn more about who I am as a person and what I do without judging?

My God people are you serious? Jumping all over me because I have a nice car? You must be kidding me.

I wouldn't say shame on my parents when you dont know the situation. I HAVE WORKED but I have never gotten paid. I had to earn my car in others ways so you have absolutely no idea about that. I wouldn't go judging people. I have not suffered in anyway and I give a lot more than I take. So please don't judge a situation you have no idea about.

I laugh because the whole demeanor of this thread changed the minute someone asked me what kind of car I owned and I answered. I bet if I had a Ford Taurus people would be commenting differently...

And my attitude? I am pissed because the cop was a prick to me. Not because he pulled me over. So I joke about it - wow.

it paints the picture....quite accurately I'm sure.

here's a little life lesson, the rest of your life will be full of people telling you that you can't just have those things that you want (which you are probably not used to hearing)....might as well get used to it and stop crying about it.

Well there is...

When you get pulled over the cop can not see into the car to know whether or not you are armed, between the blind spot at the back of the front seat window and the angle of which they must approach the car it would be easy for them to be in a vulnerable situation.

That's why cops shouldn't pull over directly behind you but out on an angle so they don't get hit by traffic and have their engine block is between you and them to duck behind should you be armed and fire at them.

I sympathize with your feeling but in a few year the tint will seem less cool and the notion of dealing with the tint vs. the cooless factor will get really old.
