AND I've gotten pulled over again.. SAME STUPID cop - TINTS. Idiot.

InquisitivePsyche said:
LOOK. I was venting.. you are analyzing this WAY too much and I feel you just want to argue because you keep coming back and quoting OLD posts I have made. Fact is, I was MAD he was a prick (because he LIED to me when he explicitely knew certain facts about what my options were, was extremely rude to me (there is no reason whatsoever.. tints or not) and if you aren't from chicago and dont know of all the issues we are having with our police departments, then please - do not speak. I said that kindly "Officer please hold on because my brother is on the phone, who happens to be a lawyer" - by saying this, they are not as big of assholes.. simple as that. My first post, I was venting, came home pissed, so shoot me. You're right - I should have worded it differently.. OKAY. I am not upset because of what you think I am not upset at all.. just annoyed that people totally flipped the point of this thread around.

And even if I went into detail about why he was a prick... people would try to turn that on me too - oh yeah - all because I own a nice car, right? I never even said the car I OWNED.. I just said "nice" car and that can mean anything to anyone... then someone asked me what car and i answered... why wouldn't I?

look you can't figure out why people are blasting you and i'm showing you why.
to go back and say you were venting or you didn't mean it that way or people are judging you when they don't know you... well they are going by what you said- that's why i'm quoting you- to show you that what you said set the tone for this whole thread.

we've had people come here and make threads titled "I HATE OLD PEOPLE" and then go on about how slow some old lady was and how he wanted to kick her to make her move out of his way blah blah blah.
people come on and blast him- we'll all get old, how dare you think you're better than her because you're young, etc.
then the original poster will be like, "wtf? i dont hate old people. i was just venting."
oh, ok.

I don't know what you'd even be upset about- you knew you had illegal tints. if i were you, i'd be driving around waiting for that ticket you got today.

my posts weren't meant to argue with you- i was trying to show you why you're getting this reaction and not the reaction you probably thought you'd get.

I see your point. Part of it was just entertainment. Let me make it clear - I was NOT mad the officer was doing his job, in fact I am HAPPY he is. What I was mad about was how rude he was to me, how he lied about the choices I had (about signing this or that, going to court, my liscense, etc) and I find that very unprofessional. With all the issues we are having with police around here, I have every right to be. And you're right -I typed to fast and vented too quickly.. but I was more annoyed that people started judging WHO I AM as a person, based off of a paragraph of me venting..

its all they have to go by.
the longer you're here, the more your real character will show, but until then, what you say, even when venting, is the only reflection on your character that anyone has.

telling people about your acceptance into a graduate program, or your vollunteer work- that doesn't show character.
ya know?

and, i'm glad that at least you and i could have an actual conversation here. :)

I didn't mean to sound like I was bragging ... but, I do need to stick up for myself when others are trying to put me down. Clockwork was so out of tune it was unbelievable to me. He is in the psychology profession and some of the things he said to me, I would not even say to my worst enemy. :)

People will start to see my true character more and more...

Kinda like my I hate doctors thread...
They go over so poorly that I've resisted the urge to post how my fuckhead doc did not call me back after one week and two call to her and had a secretary call me back after hours to tell me, "sorry we've missed your call, it's after hours and the office is now closed. If you call back tomorrow, maybe you'll get a doctor then."

Oops.

I guess I just did.

wtf? you're going to be a doctor one day. how could you say that?
my sister's neighbor's dad is a doctor. i take offense to this.

I know this thread is a gazillion pages long and IM like 85 yrs late on this, but seriously - this smacks of extreme jealousy.

who cares what kind of car she drives, where she got it, whether or not she's ever worked a day in her life, etc.

harping on it makes you look pitiful - and I know you're far from pitiful, so drop it.

I bodybuild, the most indepth hobby known to man, mommas girl. Let me guess "Daddies girl" doesn't have to pay for the tickets she gets. Wait, how could you? Unless you have an allowance, which I wouldnt doubt you do.

InquisitivePsyche said:
Because I like them and paid for them to get on and it will cost more to get them off. My brother's good friend manages an auto shop so he writes me a fake receipt saying I got them removed. I am not going to get them removed. There is no reason for it. IL is one of the 4 states that has this law. There is no reason to have a law that bans tints. None. No increase in crime, nothing. My brother has access to a private crime database since he's in law school and statistically, there is NO difference whatsoever. These cops are BORED. I mean I have driven by god knows how many cops and most ignore it - they don't care. Even the judge last year laughed when she saw why I was brought to court. No one cares except the few select cops who are bored (THIS ONE who pulled me over last year).
tinted windows increase accident rates, particularly with poorer sighted drivers

that being said, if youre young, have good eyes, and are teh principal driver, you should be able to tint the damn thing if you want

i brought my car down from the tropics the first time i was in thei city and didnt register it here for 4 years because i knew they were going to ask me to take it off...no tint turns my car into a giant furnace

which mofos were talking about me and young girls????!?!

that was on etl, where i had a discussion about 16yo girls and how its ok to get with them if you wanted to

i dont care what any of you socially preprogrammed buffoons say, if some girl 10 years younger than me hot as hell comes up to me in a nightclub and says "i just broke up with my BF, youre hot" and i actually like her (thought process duration: 0.003 nanoseconds, enough time to look at her butt, shoes, wallet) its ON lol

hmpf. like young girls are innocent. i had a party in my apartment on the weekend and was taking a friendly pic with a couple of girls, and one of them takes the opportunity to squeeze my butt on the sly.

sex is sex is sex, if both peeps are having fun i dont give a toss about what people think. lately its been 19-22yo girls dont ask me why, but i had a late 20s phase a while ago and then some 16-17yo girls crashed my party

apologies from GD = zero

everyone can kiss my ass.

i have fun, they have fun, we all keep in touch, everyone with young sisters/daughters that wants to have a big scream about it can F off. Women out for sex sometimes pick me out. theyre going to pick SOMEONE, so long as i like them and am inthe right mood, it may as well be someone balanced and positive like me rather than some schmuck who hasnt had sex in a year and will end up stalking them/putting them on guilt trips whatever

oh and IP...im not adding you because its more fun not to LOL

4. i agree that you don't have to justify or explain anything. i agree that the details of your life history aren't anyone's business. but in keeping with that, it makes more sense to not drag this out over several pages by responding to most of these people. sure, you can stick up for yourself, but you have no obligation to do so and it makes no difference to those who choose to keep attacking you anyway.

5. everyone here is an asshole.

I didn't read through all 8 pages but I saw the post about her living in N suburbs of Chicago. I have to agree that the N suburb cops are extremely bored. Niles/Skokie/Glenview/Des Plaines/etc. all have nothing to do, its pretty damn peaceful up there. My buddy is going to be a cop so I've met some of the cops he knows and there isn't shit to do in the burbs.

I have very light tints on my car including the front window (~40%) and I still get pulled over by Harwood Heights cops all the time for it and ticketed. And every single time I've gotten pulled over for the tints I was doing a couple miles per hour under the limit. And I always roll all the windows down and turn on the interior lights. If tints aren't a moving violation what do they have to justify the stop?

You might say they couldn't see in the car, right? I've been pulled over when driving with the windows down so the cop never even saw the tints and there was no obstruction keeping them from looking in the car. They simply know my car from before and decide to pick on me. And its not the same cop. My buddy also gets pulled over constantly. He eventually decided to take the front tints off. He lives in the area, luckily I don't, I just pass through a lot. So when cops have enough free time to tell each other about all the local cars with tints and to fuck with them, how much policing do you think they're actually doing?

It might be illegal, but just because its a law doesn't necessarily mean that its in any way logical or right. Its a cash cow, just like the $75 city sticker every 6 months and the tollways every 20 miles on the highway. If any city in the country wants to learn how to get rich they should look at Chicago's politicians for inspiration and guidance. Luckily the city cops actually have better shit to do than bother people for tints when they're not even speeding.

Damn I am glad i am not your kid. Your parents made have made you pay for school but they never taught you how to be a decent, kind person. I WILL make it because I already beat 75% of others (oh yeah, with my "lack of job experience") in getting into one of the most competitive Doctorate programs - and btw, they ask for a resume and they SPECIFICALLY told me that my resume was absolutely outstanding. So please, if I have a committee from a very well known Graduate school tell me I will succeed with flying colors (which I already know I will), I am not too worried.

Btw - seems like you may need a little therapy yourself. You seem like you have your own type of chip on your shoulder. I have nothing to worry about.. I dont sweat the shit you are telling me I SHOULD sweat. AND THAT my friend, is why I will succeed.

Your attempt to belittle me won't work.

You are not your resume. Some committee telling you your resume was wonderful doesn't mean shit. Hell the majority of the 'senior' committee members/professors at my university are disillusioned social retards, so good luck if your basing your quality as a person on them and their evaluation of your resume.

That's the idea you got from that statement? Read the posts before hand and I am sure that you will come up with a different scenario.

Lmao - basing my quality and personhood on my evaluation of a resume? Sorry - but you missed my point in bringing this up.

You'd have a point IF:

From the position the cop was in he could have seen me through my car even if my windows weren't tinted.. but even if I had no tints, he wouldn't be able to see me.

You see, the shape of my car is VERY tiny and from where he was (behind me) even if my back window was NOT tinted, he would not be able to see through because of how compacted that car is. The drivers seat head rest nearly reaches the top so you could not see my head over that nor could you see my body because again, I am not sure if you are familiar with the shape of a TT but it doesn't allow site in from behind. :)

I do understand that point however.

Oh wonderful! Someone who knows the northern suburbs of Chicago. Yes, I have had skokie detectives joke around and tell me that the Morton Grove cops are known for this kind of stuff because there isn't much to do. Now, I see many peoples' points that he was doing the law but in the manner it was handled, totally unprofessional.

I remember last year coming to court and that cop was there along with his "buddies," and when I walked in I looked over to where they were sitting and they were all snickering and laughing and he was looking at me... I'm not an idiot. Chicago and some of its suburbs are so messed up with their departments. Unbelievable. I thought it was a little odd too how he tailgated me for 4 blocks without his overhead lights on and then when I turned down my street, finally pulled me over. That's fine that he wanted me to turn down my street but tailgate me? Yeah - not so nice. :)

You live around here?

I get the feeling, reading this thread, that every time she types "Lmao" she isn't ACTUALLY laughing. Just a hunch, though.

I live in the NW side of the city, just east of Harwood Heights and south of Niles. Tailgating is pretty fun for them I guess *shrug*. I always wondered if they would be at fault if you brake checked them and they rear-end you.

Only times I've been stopped by city cops it was for a drug-search (which I don't do anyways) or because the car was packed so they figured we were up to something. I think for the most part the city cops have better things to do, of course there will always be the few bad apples in the bunch.

I'd hate to live in Morton Grove or Skokie just for the fact that I know the cops will mess with me. If anything I'd move out to Schaumburg, haven't hear d any bad stories about their departments, and my uncle lives out there so thats always a plus to have family nearby. Didn't notice if you wrote what place you were from in a previous post, what suburb exactly are you stuck in?

Half the time I live in Morton Grove and the other half in Lakeview/Lincoln Park Chicago. I don't like CPD much actually - they are more corrupt. My b/f had an entire lawsuit against them and the city and it was settled but they had their embarassment. Oh well. But the Chicago police definitely don't give about tints.

You tell the cop you're calling your brother who's a lawyer and you wonder why he's being a prick to you? That's an asshole move and is only going to piss a cop off.
And what are these "lies" the cop supposedly told you? That sounds like your only potential argument against the cop, but you haven't given any details

Just got pulled over for tints. I must say, I was doing pretty well since I hadn't gotten pulled over for tints in over a year.

Yup - SAME cop that pulled me over last time (over a year ago). And pulled his same shit. Pulled a U turn, tailgated me, and then when I made my right, he pulled me over. At least this time I didn't have to explain to the fucker that I was JUST pulled over 3 weeks before and I ALREADY had a court date FOR TINTS (even though he wrote me ANOTHER ticket and I had to go to TWO freakin' court dates in one week). I love how these idiotic cops think girls in nice cars don't know what the fuck they're doing. LMFAO - Everytime I get pulled over, I do this "Officer, could you please hang on while I call my brother? He's a lawyer." Haha - their demeanor totally changes. Anyway, this is what I get for tints...so I am willing to take it. BUT

I am not mad I got pulled over.. I am made because the cop was an asshole, gave me INACCURATE information, and abused his power as an officer. Sorry if that didn't get across before.

remove your tint. problem solved.

as for 'being an asshole' - comments like 'please wait while i call my brother who's a lawyer'

what do u think that will do??? just piss them off more and write u a ticket in spite.

stupid choice of words. what's the lawyer gonna do? The cop has NO OBLIGATION to talk to him whatsoever. you can get a lawyer at your court date.

improve your demeanor during traffic stops and remove that tint. u had 1 year to do so, you didn't - and now the cop is the bad guy?

Not to go back to this thread but to answer some comments. He was an asshole PRIOR to me saying that I was going to call my brother who was a lawyer and the MINUTE I said that his demeanor changed so yes, I had a reason to do it. Not to mention that I could then find out what the cop was doing that was legit, and the reason that I found out WHAT he was doing WASN'T legit was because my brother told me. So I am glad I called because otherwise I may not have known and that cop would have taken complete advantage of the fact that I don't know every little thing about the law. :)

Audi TT silver black tints

Yeah, the cop might have been an asshole, but there's a reason for the tint laws and it seems like every young person is getting that damned limo tint.

I understand. I feel a lot better in my car with tinted windows. As I said in a previous post - I once had a freakin' weirdo try to get in my car when it was dark out and I was at a red light. I've noticed with my tints that people cannot see in as much and it hasn't happened again. I feel safer at night - no joke. May sound silly but when you've had a wacko try to get in your car, well.. you catch my drift. :)

Yeah, I understand. Just wish the bad guys didn't have it. :)

Totally agree. But bad guys have regular cars, too (I mean regular windows). LOL.

I think that the police department will eventually come to know that it's meee and I am not a bad guy. LOL. I mean, if I continue to get pulled over. Haha. ;)
