LOOK. I was venting.. you are analyzing this WAY too much and I feel you just want to argue because you keep coming back and quoting OLD posts I have made. Fact is, I was MAD he was a prick (because he LIED to me when he explicitely knew certain facts about what my options were, was extremely rude to me (there is no reason whatsoever.. tints or not) and if you aren't from chicago and dont know of all the issues we are having with our police departments, then please - do not speak. I said that kindly "Officer please hold on because my brother is on the phone, who happens to be a lawyer" - by saying this, they are not as big of assholes.. simple as that. My first post, I was venting, came home pissed, so shoot me. You're right - I should have worded it differently.. OKAY. I am not upset because of what you think I am not upset at all.. just annoyed that people totally flipped the point of this thread around.

And even if I went into detail about why he was a prick... people would try to turn that on me too - oh yeah - all because I own a nice car, right? I never even said the car I OWNED.. I just said "nice" car and that can mean anything to anyone... then someone asked me what car and i answered... why wouldn't I?

to go back and say you were venting or you didn't mean it that way or people are judging you when they don't know you... well they are going by what you said- that's why i'm quoting you- to show you that what you said set the tone for this whole thread.

we've had people come here and make threads titled "I HATE OLD PEOPLE" and then go on about how slow some old lady was and how he wanted to kick her to make her move out of his way blah blah blah.
people come on and blast him- we'll all get old, how dare you think you're better than her because you're young, etc.
then the original poster will be like, "wtf? i dont hate old people. i was just venting."
oh, ok.

I don't know what you'd even be upset about- you knew you had illegal tints. if i were you, i'd be driving around waiting for that ticket you got today.

I see your point. Part of it was just entertainment. Let me make it clear - I was NOT mad the officer was doing his job, in fact I am HAPPY he is. What I was mad about was how rude he was to me, how he lied about the choices I had (about signing this or that, going to court, my liscense, etc) and I find that very unprofessional. With all the issues we are having with police around here, I have every right to be. And you're right -I typed to fast and vented too quickly.. but I was more annoyed that people started judging WHO I AM as a person, based off of a paragraph of me venting..

the longer you're here, the more your real character will show, but until then, what you say, even when venting, is the only reflection on your character that anyone has.

telling people about your acceptance into a graduate program, or your vollunteer work- that doesn't show character.

I didn't mean to sound like I was bragging ... but, I do need to stick up for myself when others are trying to put me down. Clockwork was so out of tune it was unbelievable to me. He is in the psychology profession and some of the things he said to me, I would not even say to my worst enemy.

People will start to see my true character more and more...
