I get the hernias looked at April 30. They moved that date forward so I like that. We shall see.
Yesterday did some chest. On chest days the shoulder has been giving a little discomfort again in shoulder. So am taking it easy on chest for a bit.
Spent good part of work out trying different machines a such. Figured out pain more on forward push at full lock. And more when elbows high. I still thing it is the tendon trying to heal. That is about 5 months more. So I am staying with movement that keeps elbows in, and 3/4 reps. I k ow when I get in last 1/4 of full lock it turns off chest and shoulders take over. Just wanna work chest. All other movements feel great. Gonna do a bit more band work for that shoulder. Incline bench on smith machine reverse grip chest press feel good with good chest activation. Finally smith machine that do not lean one way. I can do more stuff with it.
Still holding about 180 lb.
Able to hit gym 5-6 days at 2 hours each day including sauna time at end.
Kinda hard to post work outs right now. On so many machine trying things.and I have not figured out this metric stuff yet.,
Pull ups are getting better and that is awesome.
Abs are waking up after 2 years off.
@Slyderkt I think it's time to dump the shoulder workouts that you've been doing.
Focus more on mobility and stretching, get that shoulder loose and break up that scar tissue.

@Slyderkt hopefully your hernias are, okay. If they're small and not causing problems, you can leave them for the future, but if they're getting bigger and causing some type of interaction, you should get rid of them.
 
All is great. Loving the new gym. Switched to more morning workouts. Holding at 180 lbs
Been crazy around here. My father passed away and funeral it this weekend. All is good. He was 93 and lived a full live. Was not well last couple years. Declined quickly. Friday night went to sleep and did not wake up. This is all for the best. He is in much better place now.

I went to plastic surgeon. Going to have excess skin removed. But first I need to have inguinal hernia looked at. No pain. Didn’t know it was there. both side poke out. I can make them bulge when pushing. Now that I am lean yo see them. I did not know they existed
@Slyderkt ’m glad to hear you’re enjoying the new gym and sticking to your morning workouts! Holding steady at 180 lbs is impressive, especially with everything going on.

Ok funny story. So today was my father’s funeral. I elected to speak at it. I am at peace with his death. I knew I might break while reading my message. So far, I have held strong for my family, but I am not scared to let my emotions be seen.
I was doing good this morning , But about 10 minutes before start time. I start to lose my shit. I go out side for a little walk to clear my head.
I grab my phone and go straight to this forum. I open it to find messages of encouragement from all of you. We have never met. Yet we all inspire and show support for each other. Y’all are amazing people.
So by reading the post and releasing my mind. I was able to pull it together, and calm down. I went in and delivered my message.
What a beautiful day.
Back to the gym tomorrow, Easter morning 8 am.

I had an appointment with my sports therapist but had to cancel. He would have been great. Shoulder work out doesn’t bother me. Figured it is chest press. Pain is really at full lock. That’s when chest turns off and shoulders turn on. Shortened the length of push. Tendon is still healing

I don’t think they ar bad. They are inguinal so low. Below waist line kinda that v shape that towards my junk.
I do not feel them and never really noticed them. I thought it was part of the shape down there. Don’t really see them till I am lean like I am know.
Not super worried about them but figured get them looked at.

@Slyderkt I’ve got a feeling I’ll be going through the same thing soon. My shoulder isn’t letting up any

@Slyderkt a lot of times these therapists focus more on strengthening around the injury. when really they should focus more on mobility.
