Ever since i joined my "new" gym and abandoned my normal workout partner, i've been deathly afraid of squats. I got buried with 255 last week for no apparent reason other that i was probably concentrating so hard on not getting buried instead of actually squatting the bar up. So i planned to go up to my "old" yuppie gym yesterday with my buddy and proceeded to warmup.

Put 255 on the bar and it was easy.
Put 275 and even easier.
Put 305 and cranked out 5 reps. The trainer came over to me and said "man, you are only the 2nd person in 2 months ive seen since ive started working here do squats properly"

That gave me inspiration so i did 205 x 20, (i wanted to quit at 13 but my partner kept yelling so loud in the gym "YOU PUSSY, DONT BITCH NOW, LIGHT WEIGHT) that everyone was looking.

After that i promptly went to the bathroom and puked.

My kind of workout.

nice work man, sometimes having a partner gives u that sense of security so you arent affraid to really push yerself

Good work man. feels good to break past 300

And having a good training partner is great. I finally met another serious lifter at my gym AKA fitness center. He benches like 470 Raw, so much more advanced than me. But hes really helped as far as motivation.

Anyway, keep settin the PR's

Good work but you really shouldn't have done the 20rep thing. You puked cause your body couldn't handle it, now all that happened was you lost your nutrients which means losing possible strength and/or mass. Overtraining is very easy with legs, IMO. I have come close to puking too, but when that happens I know it's time to throw in the towel ... otherwise i'll just lose more than I will gain.

BTW, good job again man, nothing like setting a PR.
