And you're right there are differences in other areas of my body as well.

I did know fat doesn't turn into muscle, I should not have worded it that way. What I meant was when you work out and diet correctly, your body "creates" lean muscle mass. And the same thing happens with your breast, which makes the size smaller.

It is hard erasing the "myth" with the facts, but this board helps...
 
Okay, here's a point though. If you have small breasteses, and you build up your pecs and lats and generally build up your upper body size, your boobs might appear smaller by comparison. And while you're doing that, you're probably going to loose some fat as a result of increased exercise (unless you're on a bulking diet). And also, your boobs may change shape slightly as your pecs become broader. As I've built mine up, the tissue seems to be a spread over a wider area, and so my boobs don't stick out quite as much. So that's what happened to me from lifting out. I like the results though. Althletic but still feminine, my bf tells me.

I've personally noticed a much more direct correlation between weight loss and boob size. My gene's (and my mom's) seem to dictate that boobs are the first thing to go, lol.

Fatback -- did I mention that I hate you with a burning passion? You and everyone else whose boobs are the last thing to go!

Since you can't "spot reduce" (all yohimburn discussions excluded), as you burn fat, you burn it at the same rate across your whole body. However given that people tend to have different distributions of fat cells across their bodies, the fat will be lost at the same pace, so dropping 10% of fat cells that are heavily concentrated in one area will not "appear" to be the same fat loss as 10% in another area where there is a smaller concentration ---i.e. "I'm losing fat in my upper body, but my ass & hips just won't go away". (Actually... is that a feasible example -- i guess estrogen will have a tendency to deposit fat more in those areas than in others so not only is there a higher concentration of fat cells there, there is also a higher tendency for fat to be deposited there??? Do you see what happens when you choose the physical sciences instead of the biological sciences??? You learn just enough to be COMPLETELY dangerous...! ;) )

Oh well.

Boobs are basically a fat deposit that sits ON TOP of your pecs. You build up the pecs, all it means is that you built up what your boobs are sitting on top of. The base shape of your boob may change (where it sits onthe pec) and you could expect to lose boob size as you lose body fat. I do SO hate people who dont' do something because they "are scared" of the results.

My impression is that you can't spot reduce on purpose, but that you can and do lose fat from different areas at different rates. The problem is that it's pretty much programmed by your genetics what you lose where and when. But I'm no expert.

Yeah, guys that don't like to work their legs tell me similar shit. They say that if they work their legs their schlongs get smaller.
