Why are so many people affraid of squats?

Backlash, you have to use sin not cosine when doing the calculation. Its an inclined plane problem, and i've done THOUSANDS of them. The sin of 30 is .5

You can use cosine, however you would need to subract the angle of the plane from 90 degrees. cos (90-30)= Cos (60)=.5

The reason for this lies in the geomety of the problem. If anyone has taken physics lately, they can back me up on this.
 
true, since sin would be in the x axis and the force is directed in the proposed x axis. (if you were to draw a graph) if the forces were coming from below the incline instead of parallel to the incline, then the cos could be used.
 
The only time I saw anyone squat at the pissant gym I went too for a while, they needed someone to nearly buttfuck them with a spot and help them up with every rep. He went below parallel, but only squated 225 of the 365 pounds loaded on the bar. Boy he sure marched around like a toughguy afterwards tho. Same gym, I load up 405 on the bar and put on my inzer knee wraps newly bought and did it without a spotter ( a risk cuz I had missed it a week or so earlier). Thankfully I did it. I was proud of myself but outwardly humble and several puffboys just sort of snickered like I was some monumental fool for needing knee wraps to squat one rep with 405. Incidently, the time I missed the 405, I did request a spot from this large-ass black fellow, and another guy, hoping they'd both spot from the sides, but this moron preceded to tell me the only correct way to spot the squat was one guy from behind, so as I backed out of the rack with the weight I nearly tripped over the dickhead's foot, and afterwards he gave me a look like I was the one in error. Why are there so many idiots in this world, and why do they overpopulate the commercial gyms of the world? Rhetorical question.

1 x 5 - 355lbs
1 x 5 - 375lbs
1 x 4 - 405lbs
1 x 3 - 405lbs
1 x 5 - 225lbs (cool down, stretch hams, ass to calves depth)
1 x 5 - 135lbs (cool down, stretch hams, ass to calves depth)

2. Leg Extensions

1 x 15 - 120lbs
1 x 12 - 170lbs
1 x 10 - 220lbs

3. Lying Leg Curls

1 x 18 - 100lbs
1 x 15 - 120lbs
1 x 8 - 140lbs
1 x 20 - 80lbs

4. Hip Adductors

1 x 16 - 135lbs
1 x 12 - 165lbs

5. Seated Toe Raises

3 x 20 - 135lbs

6. Standing Toe Raises

3 x 30 - 150lbs

IMO there are alot of more knee killing machines and movements out there than squats, I'm talking power squats wide stance and shins vertical to the ground, most won't squat because their pussy's.
