Hey ladies,

What's the most you've ever lifted?

I just did 220 lb for the leg press which is good. Most I squatted last year was 210 - free form, not smith.

How about you? I need a goal to go toward... !!

;-) I went back to the gym today and did 250 max for the leg press... 5 reps.. after 3 sets of lower weight leg presses... ;-)

Make sure you keep your goals consistent when you are looking for upper boundaries -- for ex, if you are "cutting" or competing, you shouldn't be looking for massive strength goals because your diet won't be supporting that. However you noted that you are fairly new to leg press & squat. You should see some nice increases as you get conditioned to doing those, but you may also hit a plateau limited by your diet if / until you change your goals / diet for strength or mass.

I've always loved the leg press and have trained w/ it many different ways - low rep / high weight, silly low weight / silly high reps - e.g. the sled for 4 sets of 200. I've also had to give up on it at various times due to a bruised rib a few years ago and last yr when I messed up my lower back due to rotated pelvis. I was also informed that all my years of leg press may have contributed to some disk degeration in my lower back.

Despite that, I've increased my max for reps of 10 by about 100 lb each year since I started competing due to specific training. Latest PR is 45 x 12 plates (540 lb, excluding the sled) for wide stance, 3 sets of 10 and narrow stance 45 x 14 plates (630, excluding the sled) for narrow stance 2 sets of 10 - no spot, usually as part of 2 super sets of 3 sets each of hack + leg press. HOwever due to more shoulder problems I"m laying off heavy hack and squat, and generally scoping down my lifts. Its not in my goals any longer to go for max weights.

I'm like Buns and Jens I have no idea, I've never checked my 1rm.

I was squatting 210lbs and I leg pressed 550lbs for reps in the winter.

Now, those are some numbers I can relate to (or could in the not so distant past). My PR on press is 45 x 10 plates for wide stance, 4x12R, narrow is 12 plates, 4x12R. Mind you, my total body weight at the time was around 120-125 lbs. Squat was 255#, 4 rep max. Bench press was a measly 145# for 1 rep max.

I miss those days.

Bench 1 rm is 155 reps was 135 x 3 but not in like year
Squat 1 rm is 185 reps 155 x 5
Deadlift 1 rm is 245 reps 225 x 3
Never done 1 rm for leg press I can rep 360 x 6
