Whats more important?Formsor heavy weights?

When I used to go to the GYM ( NOW I work out at home and I really enjoy it) there were some dudes who were jerking and puffing with heavy weights..There was no form whatsoever, just jerking ans moving all their bodies!!

Would you concentrate on good forms or go for heavy load?

I tried both and Now I decided to go for correct forms vs. heavy load!

Any thoughts?
 
"Heavy" is determined by how much you can lift using good form, even if that's a 25lb curl. If that's all you can curl for eight reps with perfect form, then 25lbs is heavy for you. Four reps of a six-inch range bench, squat, leg press, whatever, is not lifting heavy IMO.

The point is, form is more important. If you have to sacrifice a little form on the last couple reps of the last set, that's ok. Beyond that, form is a higher priority.
 
I would have to agree with the others above this and say form. Any body can walk through a gym jerking around weights and get minimal gains , but those who perform correct form gain the most from the weight and the excerises they are doing.

form who cares how much you can lift...if your the size of ronnie doing 15lb bench then fuck it...thats the bench i'd do!!!
